Both Gio and Jona named to Mexican prelim WC roster.

Not too surprising, I guess. Worth noting that a lot of Mex NT fans don't rate Gio at all and consider him a wasted spot.

Anyone else think there is something going on with the Dos Santos bros and their "injuries"?

As a matter of interest and not because I think LAG would stand in Ola's way, are those friendlies on FIFA dates that require us to release Ola, or would we have the theoretical option or refusing.

I think those are the World Cup warm up matches --- obviously for Norway they are just friendlies, just like the US matches on those dates are friendlies. :(

So I would assume those are FIFA dates.

Well, Gio scored a goal. Wish it had been for us.

Increase your trade value! Here's hoping he will have a great cup and that some team will make the Galaxy an offer they can't refuse.

I think Mejico is in trouble this World Cup. I won't be holding my breath they looked awful against Denmark. Gio one chance on goal and Jona losing the ball in midfield just awful.

Yep, Denmark made them look pedestrian and tired, like a bunch of guys sleeping off a hooker orgy. I actually expected more from them. If they play like that in Russia, they will get routed by Germany.

Do you honestly think the Galaxy FO is capable enough to recognize "an offer they can't refuse?" ;)

We're talking about an organization that renewed a sponsorship deal a publicly reviled pyramid scheme.

So Jonathan was called up to the mexican national team despite being injured? I wonder if he will somehow be fit for their games.

Even if JDS starts in our next match, I can see him pulling himself from the game, regardless of the score or situation, to preserve himself for the MNT game.
