The doubleheader between the Los Angeles Blues and Antigua Barracuda FC, originally scheduled as Antigua home games, have been moved to IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton.

An interesting development. I know Antigua has some cricket coming up, but who knows why they did this. This could be a sign of trouble for Antigua.

Tickets are $10 each, free parking.

The bigger question on everyone's mind is whether the attendance will still be a big round number like 1,000 or 800.....;)

I doubt it. The Academics don't even draw 100 typically.

Antigua's national team trained at IMG ahead of their first two qualifiers. Their federation footed the bill because they believed they had a chance to possibly advance to the hex. This may have sprung out of that relationship (in part, at least).

A&B's next two qualifiers aren't until September (along with everybody else's), but perhaps their national team is going to go back to IMG in the runup to those (seems a bit far out, eight weeks).

Nothing in the Antigua Observer about the shift.
