Ya I know all about those Olympics...….. I like I said I watched him play too. Ignore the actual point of the post and take the conversation into a direction that's useless. Everyone else gets what i'm saying but since it doesn't match your view or should i say agenda because that's the word you use these days you picked one word out of it and took the conversation there. Would it be better if I had said Marchisio instead of Mikel?

We signed Kroos on this day in 2014 for around €25 million. I wonder how much he would have cost in today’s market ? Probably at least €100 million.

Yeah, even with a 1-year contract he would cost at least 80ME.

Bayern didn't really rate him that high and felt they were getting rid of a problem when they sold him to us. There's plenty of Bayern fans that were celebrating the move. Its a lot like us and James now.

There were Real Madrid fans who also thought we weren’t getting much of a player either. And Madrid fans who appreciate James as a top talent.

I’m not seeing the similarities between the two.

    You got me wrong.

Back when we got Kroos it definitely wasn't presented as a steal, because the club felt like they were getting rid of a headache, a guy that completely overestimated his own abilities.

There were whole accounts on twitter dedicated to "carry the bags of Toni Kroos" to wherever he wants as long as it's far away from Munich.

He’s really declined. I’m not sure he will ever get back to the level he was. He’s really slow and seems to have lost motivation

He's been this way for over 18 months... it wasn't some recent decline

I know but every else was bad last season so I thought it was temporary but it looks to be permanent.
Should have ideally sold him this summer to a German team

He was poor the season before this last one. Seriously that excuse of everybody being poor should die in a fire.

I was one of the ones saying we should sell Kroos or be caught up in another Gareth Bale situation.

    Meh

Should have been sold this summer along with Isco, Marcelo and Lucas. Yet all of them are here, while those who outperformed them are gone.

That's what I was saying. The only way it wouldn't come back to bite us is if he somehow recovered his drive and energy.

Stupid gamble. Smart money would have been to prop him up and sell for huge amount then buy Pogba. Sell Isco, Asensio, Lucas and Nacho to help partially finance Neymar or Mbappe next summer.

Wasn’t his extension agreed to long before the disaster that was last season or at the beginning of it or something but just not announced, i’m sure I read that somewhere

I think that's correct. It was agreed but couldn't be announced for some reason. Modric's was an auto renewal due to Balon D'or.

i'd give a couple of months into this season to see what's left in the tank, if he doesnt get back to his top-form, he would still be a great rotating player tbh, as long as he accepts that role.

Has anyone seen his movie btw? I can't understand what could be interesting about Kroos that you have to make a movie about his life.

It's a documentary. He's a huge deal in Germany, one of the most decorated and accomplished football players in modern history.

Still the best passer in world football and not even the prime culprit for want the team has been going through...
