Judging by his expression in that picture, it doesn't look to me like he's all that happy about being man-handled by those fans...

I don't know about the "greatest escape, ever", but count me in the guilty-as-sin category, too.

I had them written off, killed off and left for dead, sent to forensics and ready to have the DNA analyzed, all within the last six weeks.

But the fighting spirit in this team has been incredible, to get the results they've gotten when they've really needed to have them. And concurring that Hodgson laid the foundation in these last critical matches to bugger with tinkering things around, just to play his best eleven players on the park and let them work their magic and chemistry.

And as Fulham fans, through the YA connection or otherwise, I think we owe Danny Murphy a huge apology for the criticism we've given him this year. His goal was the one that keeps Fulham in the top flight (although, at least from a heart-felt perspective, I'd loved to have seen Brian McBride score that goal).

And now, off to listen to that Gentleman Jim link... :D

I know this was back on Page 2 of the thread -- but since I was at work all day, and no one else answered this, I shall. :)

A hamper is like a gift basket. It's common in Australian culture as it is in British culture. Oftentimes, at occasions such as Easter or Christmas, these are pre-packaged and given to friends and loved ones.

And right about now, I'm sure every Fulham player is bound to be getting a hamper of some sort... even as paid for by Mohammed Al-Fayed himself! :D

    To continue the thought...

Fayed also owns Harrod's, an upscale store famous for their holiday hampers.

On the other hand, the ability to play in UEFA cups games may help them attract better talent than they might otherwise.
