Guys, I had to delete a lot of good posts in the other thread because they contained bits and parts that were not acceptable.

Once again I would like to remind you to refrain from personal attacks and keep it civil. Thanks.

기성용 스완지 떠난다…'새 둥지 찾기 고심'

Yonhap reports Ki's agent looking for a new team for him. Says Ki and Laudrup had a falling out at the end of last season.

What was the reason behind him not playing the final 5-6 games for Swansea last season? Was Ki injured? I forget.

Ahh, the classic football source from Korean media. Same one where Ki and LCY had a fall out?

Coach & player bicker all the time. If Laudrup didn't rate Ki, and simply remained in his doghouse....

1.) he would not come off the bench or even play in pre-season games
2.) would have been sold early in the summer, or when Shelvey was purchased.. and so forth. Laundrup & Swansea would have been far more active to unload him...

Might just be a gambit to get more playing time and the coach's attention

Too bad Ki is on a self-imposed social media timeout.

Here is the post-match interview. KSY bit at 8:50 mark. They haven't spoken in over a week. Is that common between players/managers?

Whether it's injury or just personal disagreement, I think it's clear Ki is no longer in Laudrap's plan. He will be gone from the team pretty soon.

Maybe more like the kind of "talk" that kids get from parents where they have to sit them down and all that. That only happens every few years sometimes.

That isn't indicative of Ki out of Laudrup's plan or they had a fall-out. Nor did Laudrup tell Ki to "leave" like Korean media is reporting. Seriously, if he isn't in Laudrup's plan.. he would have told Ki to leave long time ago similar to Kemy/Gower and etc. Sounded more like Ki + Laudrup had discussion on where he is in the pecking order..

Purely a guess, but Ki is pushing for the move away from Swansea. Seeking security for 1st team football compared to rotation status he has with Swansea. And if he is pushing for the loan/transfer because he's afraid of competition...

I wonder if it's also because his mind's already on the WC. I mean Ki's not an idiot, he knows that for Korea to perform, he needs to be playing not on the bench. Who knows, these next few weeks could be interesting.

If Laudrup wants Ki on the team, then he would have said it publicly. Manager/coaches are very careful about talking about their players to the media. They know full well how sensitive the players can be. Fact that Laudrup would openly admit to not talking to player for a week to the media pretty much says he has given up on Ki.

If he is so dismissive of Ki to the media, then he would be even more critical of him in private.

No, Laudrup stated if players have a wish or whatever.. he and the player talk or they come to him for a chat. I'm sure Ki and Laudrup had a chat on where he stand on the squad. Ki... on his various interviews distinctly talked about how Laudrup does not chat or really communicate with the Swansea squad in general. Just because Laundrup & Ki aren't buddies or did not have small chit chat is indicative of a feud between them.

And Laudrup's reply is based on when he & Ki last talked about his "wish", "worry", or whatever..... If Ki wasn't in his plans from the start or last season when they supposedly had the fall-out, Laudrup would have sold him early on. He told Kemy to leave... Mark Gower to leave to English/Wales media.

Some things to read into in the post game when subject of Ki came up. Hand to face movement prior to answering the Ki question; naming Ki last when going through club's list of midfielders...

Ahhhh okay. That makes sense and is probably best to keep the relationships more professional.

I'm repeating myself, but managers are extremely tactful when talking about players to the media. It is highly unusual to mangers to talk about a player in that manner, because it would send a message to public that he doesn't care about a player.

If you include is public statement along with Ki lack of playing time this year, infusion of new talent and the report of Ki's transfer to Sunderland, it's a clear sign that Ki is no longer wanted in the team.

It seems very clear cut, to me It's only matter of time.

Really? Lack of playing time after 1 game in EPL and 3 qualifying games for Europa?
So, as stupid as he is... if Ki is the one pushing for the move, it is because he isn't part of Laudrup's plan? By that logic, Suarez isn't part of Rodgers plan since Liverpool purchased new talent, report of transfer to Real Madrid + Arsenal, BR + Liverpool telling Suarez to ********ing apologize.......

Ahh yes, but I can't compare Ki's situation to Suarez right? Because if a squad player wants to leave... he simply isn't part of the plan although he came off the bench against Man Utd (when Pozuelo could have been subbed in instead if Ki is in Laudrup's doghouse). How about Max Rodriguez for Liverpool... same reaction from Rodgers + player in similar status as Ki at the time... but a player Rodgers wanted to keep. Or Jordan Henderson at the start of last yr.....

And if you really want a fall-out, you should read into Laudrup vs Mark Gower pissing contest.

still don't understand how shelvey comes before ki in the pecking order. but obviously ki was bought initially to replace allen, which was definitely a mistake....Ki is not a natural CDM. Besides, the loan spell will do him good especially in preparing for the world cup and certainly afterwards be picked up by another team.

Most every single player on and off the squad has said that laudrup is not a talker. He likes to teach by doing it himself but tactically he keeps to himself to the point that there was no PK taker. Laudrup didn't even talk to Jenkins during the transfer budget saga this summer.
