I actually like the old corny names that they had in England, before it went commercial. Maine Road, Highbury, Elland Road, Vicarage Road, Craven Cottage. the Baseball Ground. Italy would tend to name stadiums after people for the most part, and that was ok, but I like naming them after local landmarks. This day in age though I totally understand why teams sell the rights to corporations. If you want the $$ you need to do it.
Hmm, that article is claiming that Poli is already signed by Juve. It would be nice to see Samsung invest that much money into Juve. Would be a welcome boost.
Wednesday April 17 2013 Samsung Stadium for Juventus? By Football Italia staff Sport Mediaset are claiming that Juventus are closing in on a €120m stadium naming rights deal with Samsung. The South Korean giants are said to be looking to sign a five-year agreement with the Old Lady which would see the Juventus Stadium rebranded as the Samsung Stadium. Samsung have apparently been in talks with Sportfive, the company who agreed a 12-year naming rights deal which sees the Italian club receive a minimum of €6.25m a season. Juventus have yet to react to the rumours and they haven’t in the past when Samsung were again linked with their arena. In November 2012, Juve and Samsung penned a sponsorship contract which saw them become the club’s technological partners. In the Korean language, Samsung means ‘three stars’.

I've been reading lots of different shit. Some are saying sportfive actually paid us 75 mil for 12 years to be able to resell the naming rights and get 20% of the cut of any deal for the next 12 years.

l'architetto @juventus_fc_fan6h Andrea Agnelli has come up with a solution to reduce the chance of complete curva bans in the future. He has consulted architects to help divide the curvas into smaller sections of 1000-1500 people which would make it easier to identify & ban those misbehaving. The architects consulted by Agnelli have responded in the affirmative & this solution could be implemented as early as next season.
