It is being proposed that the 2020 European Championship not be awarded to any FA but spread among the qualified nations. Something similar to what was done in the early days. The semi's and final will likely be given to neutral sites. It will be interesting to see the details when they come out.
Those details are probably still in the works. My guess is that hosting will rotate among the teams in the group.
UEFA already declared that the 2020 will be taking place in a number of countries, they aren't sure how many yet. They announced it at a press conference earlier today.
I think this is being done as a result of countries building stadiums that remain empty after the tournament. Countries are finally starting to realize that hosting international tournaments are not worth it. Thats what I think anyways.
Juventino @Juventus_FC_fan CdS reporting that technology partners Samsung are interested in acquiring naming rights to the Juventus Stadium. Samsung Stadium?
We really don't have much of a say. We already sold the rights to SportFive who are selling the rights to an actual sponsor.
Samsung Center Samsung Arena Sansung Field Samsung Fortress Samsung Stadium I kinda like that! I would probably go with Samsung Arena
It can if they decide to keep it that way. They most likely won't, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible
So you think SportFive would pay Juve for naming rights and then just leave the name Juventus Stadium?
Just the opposite, imho. As a lifelong Dodgers fan I love the fact that we have always had Dodger Stadium rather than PG&E Dodgers Stadium or some other such thing. I understand why teams do it, but I think the sponsor in the name is about a billion times more corny than Juventus Stadium.
Sad. Even if I'm not (remotely) a Juventus fan.. You guys are friggin' Juventus. You're the Yankees of calcio. And the Yankees don't play in Sprint Stadium.
