Hopefully I am not speaking to soon but at least the defense looked solid today; no errors by De Ligt.

I don't expect Inter to drop points today, but so long as we keep getting ours and the play becomes more fluid, we'll be ok in the league.

Bernardeschi... what is wrong with this guy.

Good win, but I don't expect this Matuidi-Cuadrado fullback experiment will work against the best teams

Berna has been absolute dog *** this year.

Cuadrado and Pjanic both had a good game.
Ronaldo and Dybala both had a solid game.
De Ligt is going to keep getting better.
I was disappointed with Bonucci lol, that was bad.

Also it shows how much we miss Costa. That guy is just a highlight machine.

mainly just saying that the vast majority of hype or criticism of Ronaldo is reactionary and that from fans and analysts alike, its very one dimensional in analysis.

this relates to football, we see game tape of playings balling out for their previous teams, then they go to a new team and they flounder. We have no idea what the coach has decided that players responsiblities for the match are, we know that at the top level... its not just get out there and play!, especially when you think of Allegris Juve, players were given strict tactics and were not allowed much leeway outside of that, just abandoning your role and deciding to try to push the ball yourself can get you on the bench. Think of Contes teams, it was military tier in how strict he was with his orders, he would cuss you out from the sideline if you decided to get selfish or experiment with the ball at your feet.

Ronaldo was the center piece at Madrid, everything and everyone was built around him, people rightfully criticized him for being a "tap in" machine at Real, that is true in some regards, but not other goals too. Regardless, everyone on that team was feeding him the ball.

it is fair to criticize CR for his decline in free kicks, he has lost that finesse that he once had, but back when he did score them a good deal, he also missed a lot, but now its on another level of failure.

the same applies to Dybala, everyone rags on him, but he used to play close to goal and he would score a lot, for the past 3 years, he has been playing in a new spot with new roles every year... Allegri basically said, ok now we want you to stop playing like Aguero and play like Messi coming out of the midfield, he lacks that speed and strenght on the ball, opposing players would chop him down over and over which made him loose his confidence, he quickly became a guy who would try to earn the foul or pass as soon as possible... but he would not get the chance to turn on the ball and shoot...which he once was so good at, but he playing too deep to do that in his new role.

    unrelated....
Its interesting that Bale has been at Real and has far supassed Zidane( as a player) in every category possible, its not even close in goals and assists. I know Bale never cared to learn spanish and can be cold to the team...

Sensi is having a great year so far, cant remember the last time a midfielder was shooting so accurately from range.

Inter is going to be a force once Conte gets everyone on the same page. He has made Asamoah look solid. If he gets Alexis back to his Arsenal form, they will be major scudetto contenders.

Alexis got a red so that’s a win lol. That guy loves showing his thighs.

they will eventually cool down, but they have a stacked team.
Their GK is better every way.
Conte got what he wanted from management.

I’m kinda torn, I feel if we had Allegri this team would have been in a much better form.

right now we are dealing with too many injuries and we have a older players like Khedira that can’t even finish a full match.
Speaking of Khedira he had so many opportunities to score this season, football gods just hate him this year because some of those shots no way anyone could stop them.

Their keeper stood on his head, his hands and his azzzz.

That could easily have been 5-6 nil.

he is going to get hurt at least twice this year, he always gets sidelined for a moderate amount of time... Rabiot or Betancur will have to fill the void, which they can do in the league, different story for the CL.

Up next Leverkusen, should be a win for us at home, hopefully.

Then, Inter. Time to knock them off their high horse
