Egypt knocked out by South Africa. Devastating for Salah, but he will be returning to preseason sooner than anyone thought.
Well, if you sleep with dogs , don’t complain if you get fleas. PSG preyed on his enormous ego to prise him from Barcelona.
And another bites the dust. 'He will not be involved for a while': Jurgen Klopp reveals Xherdan Shaqiri could miss the start of the season after tearing his calf on Nations League duty Xherdan Shaqiri will miss the start of Liverpool's pre-season after suffering a torn calf injury during Switzerland's Nations League clash with England last month. It should have been either Lampard, gerrard AND a Scott Parker type - meaning you leave out a forward, or you leave out Lampard or Gerrard. For me, there was never any question there.... Chelsea often did the former, playing Lampard as an advanced midfielder with just Drogba..... easy enough to do when you have Essien and Ballack as your midfield....
Well, come on - Casaemiro is the world's greatest --- I mean, he plays for Real Madrid - so he must be.....
Mahrez scored a great free kick with literally the last kick of the game to put Algeria in the final. Senegal vs Algeria on Friday. Koulibaly suspended for the final for Senegal. I really hope that Mane gets to be Champion of Africa on top of already being a Champion of Europe.
Those CAF clowns don't wipe yellow cards after the quarterfinals (like everyone else these days)?!? What a joke. Anyway, Mane vs Mahrez will be interesting. Hope Mane wins both in July and this coming May.
It is one of the strangest phenomenon I've seen online (and that's saying something). It's like he only knows how to access BigSoccer on the internet.
Bummer...!!! Too bad for Nate. Nathaniel Clyne out for up to NINE MONTHS as Liverpool full-back snaps ACL on pre-season tour... destroying chance of move to Crystal Palace DOMINIC KING IN NEW YORK: Clyne's injury was much worse than first feared and he now faces a lay-off that could be as long as nine months. Liverpool are hopeful he can be back in six months. Full Story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...thaniel-Clyne-NINE-MONTHS-snaps-ACL-tour.html
are you saying that it is easier to open up a new internet window than to type it in this one? Bizarre logic there.....
Have you ever been in a foreign city and known where the tourist inforamation stand was located but nonetheless asked a person beside you for directions? It's a variant of utilitarianism.... Anyway, according to an episode of the Simpsons they are soon gonna have the Internet on Computers, so I'll be set....!!
No. Speaking of the Simpsons... I watch this every day pic.twitter.com/kqGWcur6N4— - (@ThoseScouseLads) July 29, 2019
roundup of what our players are doing in this break .... The African contingent of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and the injured Naby Keita all have no games during this set of fixtures thankfully. Xherdan Shaqiri has decided to not join the Switzerland squad so he can focus on Liverpool. Let’s take a look at who from Liverpool’s first team has been called in. England Euro qualifying: Bulgaria - Sept. 7, Kosovo - Sept 10 Jordan Henderson, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have all been called into the England side for Euro qualifiers. With Henderson coming off early against Burnley yesterday due to an ankle injury, he may stay back in Liverpool for treatment. If he does go, he is a likely starter. Trent figures to be an important player for this English squad. Joe Gomez could possibly partner with cough Most Expensive Defender In The World cough Harry Maguire. Ox is likely to play a reserve role. Netherlands Euro qualifying: Germany - Sept. 6, Estonia - Sept. 9 Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum are regular starters for the Dutch, with the imposing center half the team captain. The UEFA Nations League runners up face a difficult task against Germany in their first game. Scotland Euro qualifying: Russia - Sept. 6, Belgium - Sept. 9 Andrew Robertson has become the captain for the Scots in short order. The 25 year old Glaswegian will lead his team against a couple of stiff tests, including Divock Origi’s Belgium side. Both games will be at home for Scotland at least. Belgium Euro qualifying: San Marino - Sept. 6, Scotland - Sept. 9 Divock Origi, and his penchant for important goals, has been called back into the Belgium suad. Origi hasn’t gotten on the field for the Red Devils recently, and likely is doubtful to feature as a starter, if at all. Croatia Euro qualifying: Slovakia - Sept. 6, Azerbaijan - Sept. 9 Dejan Lovren is a bit of a forgotten man around Anfield right now, but he is taking a break from getting coffee with Mo to join up with his Croatian compatriots. Brazil Friendlies: Colombia - Sept. 6, Peru - Sept. 10 Roberto Firmino and Fabinho have been called in for Brazil, while Alisson Becker was called in but will miss out due to injury. Firmino has been splitting starts with Gabriel Jesus recently, while Fabinho has primarily been on the bench to start. With both players in stellar form, it will be interesting to see how the figure into the side. From a Liverpool perspective, the travel time to get back before they play Newcastle on September 14 is always a worry.
It huge for Salah and Mane to get a break since they hardly got one in the summer. That’s a bit of a strange decision from Shaq. I wonder if that’s the advice Klopp gave him. He’s the best player on a really good national team. You would think he would just want to get back out on the pitch and get some minutes in his legs. Brazil should have given Firmino a break. He spent the whole summer with them and helped them win a trophy after playing in the Champions League final. Why does he need to be involved in meaningless friendlies? It will be key for everyone to come back fit, because the games are going to start coming fast with the Champions League. We will need to the whole squad now. Hopefully Alisson and Keita are close to returning.
