Time to bring this thread back to the front page. How thoroughly ridiculous that we're now in the second international break of the young season. Stay healthy, guys.
Liverpool and England midfielder Adam Lallana, 30, will make his return from injury after the international break.
Dominic Solanke was on target as England U21s recorded an emphatic 7-0 victory over Andorra in European Championship qualifying on Thursday night. Shortly after entering the game as a second-half substitute, the Liverpool striker netted in the 81st minute of the contest at Chesterfield’s Proact Stadium. It was a result that confirmed the Young Lions’ place at next year’s finals in Italy and San Marino. Elsewhere, Curtis Jones started to help England U18s to a 4-0 success against their Sweden counterparts at St George’s Park, while Rafael Camacho played 72 minutes of Portugal U20s’ 1-1 draw with Switzerland in World Championship qualifying. On the senior international front, it was a disappointing night for Andy Robertson as Scotland surrendered a half-time lead to go down to a 2-1 Nations League defeat to Israel in Haifa.
This is so weird England versus Croatia behind closed doors no fans at all in Croatia must be weird for the players.
He's very inconsistent but you can't argue with the overall skillset. Needs some growth between the ears, so to speak.
Yes, just another example of a Manure player who is great when I don't want him to be and shit when I want the opposite.
CRAP!!!! Liverpool star Mohamed Salah limped off towards the end of Egypt's 4-1 friendly win over Swaziland with a "muscle strain". The Liverpool forward scored direct from a corner in the African Nations Cup qualifier in Cairo before appearing to suffer a hamstring injury. Egypt assistant Hany Ramzy moved to ease fears over the 26-year-old's fitness post-match by insisting it was "not a big injury". "The initial diagnosis confirmed that the injury is a muscle strain and there is no possibility of muscle rupture," Ramzy is quoted as saying by yallakora.com. "The player needs to have radiation to determine the injury and the duration of his absence. It is not a big injury, we support him with all our energy and we hope he will return without being affected by an injury as soon as possible."
that's my concern - Egypt will play him next game coz they need him / have so much PR invested in him. EDIT: I'm wong - good! Egypt have confirmed that Mohamed Salah will immediately return to Liverpool after suffering an injury against Swaziland on Friday evening. The 26-year-old scored directly from a corner in Egypt’s 4-1 victory in Cairo but was forced off late on with a suspected thigh injury. Egypt’s players went through a light training session on Saturday morning but Salah did not participate. And after initial tests on his injury, Egypt’s Football Association has confirmed that he will now return to Merseyside for further treatment following a decision taken by their head coach Javier Aguirre. Salah had been due to travel with Egypt’s squad to Swaziland for their Africa Cup of Nations qualification group game on Tuesday
Gibraltar have won their first ever competitive match. Their keeper stoned Mkhitariyan multiple times and kept a clean sheet. I'm sold on the UEFA Nations League.
Salah out for 2 weeks? https://www.football365.com/news/reports-claim-salah-will-miss-two-weeks-with-muscle-strain
