As someone who couldn't stand the guy for the longest time, I have to admit it's nice to not be cursing his existence every game.

Goal scoring chances created / goals scored so far this season:

    1 Liverpool 155 (21 goals - 14%)
    2 City 145 (38 - 26%)
    3 Arse 142 (20 - 14%)
    4 Spurs 137 (20 - 15%)
    5 Soton 125 ( 9 - 7%)
    6 Chelsea 121 (19 - 16%)
    7 Manure 108 (23 - 21%)

Stating the obvious - we need to get more ruthless!!!
Surprising to see Soton create so many chances, we'll need to be sharp on Saturday.
Manure boring of course but efficient in converting (though they have mostly played lower teams)
Us, Spurs and Arse very similar conversion ratio.
Chelsea only have 19 goals !

That's funny ..... ( I thought he was a somewhat religious guy though, no? - of course, that doesn't necessarily equate to not going out on a pisser though...)

I dont think anyone in Europe below the age of 40 is still religious at all. Contrary to the US most of this place is so secularized that you wouldnt notice anyone believed in something if it wasnt for all the eyecatcher churches

It's mostly that way in the US too, at least in more urban areas but some people do a great job faking it.

Get outside the big cities, especially in the South and Southwest and you still have what has come to be known as the Bible Belt. Areas where fundamentalist Protestantism (primarily Baptist) is still the rule rather than the the exception. The big change is the extent to which these people feel culturally threatened as they never have before. Ergo Trump and other unpleasant things.

Frankly there is too much in common between looney tune fundamental Christians and looney tune fundamental Islamists. Both are willing to fixate on extreme interpretations of a few words here and there in documents written thousands of years ago as justification for all sorts of BS .......

Really? Is that hyperbole or a genuinely held view?

I lived in Waco for 2 years and the Baptist stranglehold is real down there. However, the people in my age bracket were some of the nicest and accepting people I've met anywhere. The Baylor kids on the other hand....woof.

I'm bored so I looked up the top 25 Prem scorers (4 or more goals): http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/premier-league/top-scorers

Reviewing the top six teams shows that us and City:
    - have more balance / danger from multiple players
    - are not so dependent on the fitness / form of a couple of guys
    - can afford to rotate a lot more than the others

City --- 5 players (Aguero, Sterling, Jesus, Sane, KdB) total 36 goals between them - 78% of team total
Us ---- 4 players (Mo, Bobby, Phil, Sadio) total 25 goals - 75% of team total
    Manure - 2 players (Lukaku, Martial) 14 goals - 40%
    Chelsea - 2 players (Morata, Hazard) 14 - 50%
    Arse - 2 players (Lacazette, Sanchez) 12 - 41%
Spurs - 1 player (Kane) 10 - 43% (Spurs really really need Kane!)

Lost in all the talk about our offensive prowess, our defense has only given up 2 goals since that abortion in Seville. One was a fluke goal vs Chelsea and the other was a horrible call on a PK. We can smirk at the opponents involved in that run but every opponent counts with as soft as our defense has been in the Klopp era.

We've also scored 32 and given up 5 since the Tottenham embarrassment.

    Well done all around.

After our October 'crisis' I'm sure few would have believed that by FA Cup weekend we'd be 3 points off 2nd, favorites in our CL round of 16 tie, and on a 16 or 17 match unbeaten run.

We can look in disappoint at the six points we dropped against the bitters, chavs, and west brom and wonder 'what if', but we're still in a great position.
And to top it all off, our manager has actually managed to rotate our squad well through the holidays and we are one of the few teams to not look tired and labored during the period.

Despite all the speculation that Cout is out, I don't see us sanctioning the move. 2nd place is up for grabs and with our attack + the addition of VvD we have as good a chance as anybody in the CL.
Whatever money we earn from the sale won't be important as the cache that we gain from finishing second and winning a trophy (FA Cup the more likely) or a deep run in the CL.
    F*^k barca.

Also, the draws with Worst Brom and Neverton wouldn't feel so bad if they were wins and the matches at Burnley & Bournemout/Brighton were draws.

Klopp's changes to the team are starting to become clear.

    Forward line
    In: Mane, Saleh and Solanke
    Retained: Firmino and Ings
    Exit lounge: Sturridge

We've added more goals, pace, creativity and work rate to the front line. Solanke provides some youthful potential and an alternative to style to Firmino. I expect Sturridge to go, I would like to see Ings retained and I expect one more to join in the summer, Lemar?

    Midfield
    In: Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieta
    Retained: Lallana
Exit lounge: Can, Henderson and Milner

We've added more energy to a midfield that at times can be slow and plodding. I expect Can to leave and I also expect Henderson and Milner to be upgraded either this summer or the next. We have an interesting crop of youths knocking on the door in Grujic, Woodburn, Ejaria, Wilson and potentially TAA.
I would still like to see the addition of a midfield destroyer type but I don't expect that to happen.

    Defence
    In: Klavan, Matip, Robertson, VvD
    Retained: Moreno, Lovren, Gomez, TAA
    Exit lounge: Clyne and Flanagan

Still a bit of a work in progress but I think Klopp is happy with a Moreno, VvD, Matip and TAA/Gomez backline. I expect once fit Clyne will be sold. I wouldn't be surprised if we pick up another right back and see either Gomez pushed into the centre or TAA into the midfield.

    Goalkeeper
    In: Lorius
    Retained: Migs and Ward
Exit lounge: Any and all of the above 3

At present I don't think Klopp is satisfied with any of his 3 options for a variety of reasons. Could there be some truth behind the current transfer rumours for a new GK?

For this window so far, we have improved at the back and a bit weaker in attacking depth. Overall maybe a wash.

Think our main targets now should be GK and CMF. I also would like to see a good DCM.

He basically managed to dump all CBs that he found when he came to LFC: Skrtel, Sakho, Lovren
