http://www.fcbayern.de/en/news/news/2014/interview-with-julian-green-100714.php New Julian Green Interview from Bayern's Website
Reading through his interviews, this kid seems to have the drive and the will to become an elite player. Not saying he'll ever reach his potential, but I love his attitude. Young players should look up to him and Joe Gyau (Gyau has a great attitude, apparently he is a workaholic).
Yeah, but the roster itself seems to have been updated with Lewandowski and Bernat now being included despite not being at the club for '13-'14. I'm thinking they just haven't changed the date yet. I would bet this is the first team roster for '14-'15.
Also, the team photo is obviously the one from '13-'14 since they have the UCL trophy in front of them, and are wearing the kits from last year.
kicker also lists him in the first team, and with a nice American flag next to his name http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...desliga/2014-15/bayern-muenchen-14/kader.html
Bayern has their summer scchedule up, which includes a couple of matches in America http://www.fcbayern.de/en/news/news/2014/summer-schedule-2014-190514.php 26 July, 6.30 pm Telekom Cup: Borussia Mönchengladbach v Bayern (in Hamburg) 27 July, 4.30 pm or 6.15 pm Telekom Cup: Match for third place or final (in Hamburg) 30 July to 7 August Audi Summer Tour 2014 1 August, 2 am CET Friendly v Club Deportivo Guadalajara (in New Jersey) 7 August, 3.30 am CET Friendly v MLS Allstars (in Portland, Oregon) I'm thinking those are the matches where Julien will have to show his abilities off. We might also might get a shot to see Fabian Johnson vs. Julien Green mano v mano
I know I'm rehashing a topic already beaten dead, but if Shaqiri gets sold and with Ribery getting old, he could see some decent minutes.
My personal hope is he plays in a squad rotation. He could play either left or right, and maybe even striker.
And he will remain in the first team picture and, I think, get some very good minutes . . . . until the USA tour is over. Then we might see a change.
That'd be about right given his youth and the strength of Bayern. Anything more than that would be gravy this year. Maybe a couple of CL games or German Cup games (although I don't know how Bundesliga teams treat the cup... if its like the FA Cup or League Cup in England).
