Maybe Fürth buys some decent players and is not once again relegation fodder.

Who's rejoicing? Most have written Julian off many months ago.

I'm low-key rejoicing. He's a bit late to get to this point, but going to a team where you've shown you can hang, where you're wanted and where you should, if you want to have any chance of succeeding, be able to excel a bit is great. Wood was in this spot a few short years ago. As have been many 23-24 year olds who strung together perfectly decent careers. Nothing wrong with this move.

“Low-key rejoicing” sounds like a contradiction in term. Similar to a “minor castrophe.”

Nah, joy can be low-key, even the second time.

GF wow with 2 goals. Doesn't sound like JG was directly involved in either.

Probably just some photo perspective thing, but that pitch looks like it is crowned like an American High School football field. I hated playing on those as it was near impossible to pass down the line.

Looks like Julian has gone back to his old #37 from his Bayern days? He wore #8 last season.

Green played 66 minutes, and Furth erased a 1-0 deficit to win 3-1.

Notably all three of their goals came after he was substituted off... yet FotMob still have him a 7.0, so he mustn’t have been that bad.

His team have been pinned back in the opening 15. Not a ton of action for him so far, but he is playing through the middle as sort of a withdrawn second forward.

started ACM in a 4-1-4-1 but then moved to LM. made a nice move but left footed shot just went wide.

JG doing a ton of defending wide. Just gave up a FK just outside the box.

Greuther Furth have been the 2nd best team in this game in terms of chances, but they now lead 1-0. JG has grown into the game and has taken 3 shots so far, all off target. He's combining well with his teammates and looks more mature/confident that I remember him being.

Beautiful stuff from Green. Wins the ball and beats the defender with his first touch, runs right at the defense, and puts a curling effort on goal from about 22ish yards that is pushed away by the keeper.

88' Julian out with score 1-1. Reese (Schalke loaned) replaces him.

This match would be right at home in the SPL!
