these are crucial matches for the pre olympic teams, i would rather guate gradually get better by playing a series with Nicaragua

but if we beat CR in the series we will be serious contenders in the CAC and could be good enough for our 4th olympic soccer tournement appearance in Beijing 2008

Yea the balance of Guatemala's and Costa Rica's future is at stake here. Costa Rica has an aging team and badly need new young talent and Guatemala need youths that are ready to step up and replace such players such as Plata and Giron....and just maybe give guate a better striker than Ruiz.

Nah, it only "started" to die... Once guys like Cienfuegos, Diaz Arce and others retired, then yeah, it died for sure.

interesting..... soo any possible future prospects?? Yea Cienfuego and Arce were good but not good enough to make an impact. Ronald Cerritos did really well his first few seasons in MLS but has now became an average MLSer. Eliseo Quintanilla could have been the next pescadito, but he missed soo many chances when he played with DC United... by the way does he still play???

i dont know much of your U 21 team, could some of the Central american poster post info on thier youth Team. involved in this tourney

I wonder why there is no belize poster, im the closest thing to a belize poster since they border my department funny.

Cienfuegos and Diaz Arce were 10 times better than Cerritos... and their careers were far superior than his in MLS. Quintanilla still plays, in El Salvador now.. for Alianza FC. After getting release by DC United he said he wanted to play in Mexico, tried for a few teams but couldn't cut it so he went back to El Salvador and ended up in Alianza.

Whoever made the comment about MS13.. Please man.. every country has their deceases.. Can't blame the whole country for them.

After the surprise U-16 UNCAF tournament, ES is almost bound to make a comeback, still i wont be surprised if these young players get thrown at the wolves pre-maturely. LN who are your best players in the ES NT???
