This year has been the best I've seen of Cuadrado. He's always been talented and fast and a great dribbler but at times over indulged and definitely was selective about when to help on defense. Nowadays, he's all over the field. His run backs to cover the position yesterday vs Milan were outstanding. This has started to pour into his recent NT performances that were going from bad to worst at one point. But even vs Argentina, I felt he was one of our only players that were making a difference in challenging the Argentine side.
No goal or assist today, but Cuadrado was pretty great today. Very complete performance. Out attackers are getting back in form.
+1 Really looking forward for the matches in March. Hopefully Cuadrado with his great form recently will do the difference for us. 4-6 points and we're back on track.
Had a very nice pass that led to the goal. Beautiful cross that Mandzukic headed towards goal and the keeper could not handle and was ruled an own goal. (If he can only cross like that in March Falcao should bury it too.)
You know everything is going Cuadrado's way when he scores a nice header goal. I don't think I have ever seen him score a goal like that. For me he is a 100% starter for the next two games for Colombia. I am hoping his Club form can translate into something special for Pekerman.
To be fair he's been playing well for Colombia last couple outings. If we can also light a fire under James and have both of these guys at full capacity than we have a chance.
To me it has been feast for famine. Sure he does some flashes of great plays here and there but he also falls down way too easy and stays on the ground like the grandma from the life alert commercials "I've fallen and I can't get up."/
I have to disagree about his form as of late. Surely his match against Arg he was one of the only players that had any fight. Many matches in the past # of years...yes, he's been a WC diver but last couple matches he's played in he's had a big rise in form. In fact, I would say James has had much more 'diva' like attitude with contact play than Cuadrado has in the last few games. These are the same guys that play balls out in Europe.
The way he has been playing for Juve has been pretty fantastic with his crossing and his goals like the one I posted. (And it also seems like he spends less time on the floor in Italy.) I just hope he can play that well for Colombia.
his diving skills got us 3 points but I get your point. I do like that he at least goes for the 1 v1 beat. No other player seems to take on that challenge.
So important for our scheme. The overlap of C4 and Zuniga (who can each effectively play rb or rw) was so effective and Zuniga is a really confident player. Tons of swagger....
Luis Enrique keeps committing tactical blunders and half his roster is looking old and/or out of shape. Still, we know better than to call them virtually eliminated...
I don't see Juve having a meltdown at Camp Nou. They're no PSG lol. I wouldn't rule out Barca but this side is really in shambles. Can't say I'm not loving it though LMAO
It is fantastic seeing him be a major part of their attack on the right side. The team seems so dynamic with him out there with Dybala.
He's always been a fantastic player on the ball but I can see Cuadrado has gained so much more off the ball and is a really patient and smart player. Wondering who is the most like him coming up our ranks? Maybe Izquierdo but haven't seen him in other high pressure moments to make enough of n impression.
