Wish he would play like that for Colombia. He would have dived 3-5x during that play if he was playing in Yellow. Even legit PKs for him don't get counted because he dove 12 times in 5 minutes before then
I think it helped that he came off the bench and Lyon really did not know what to expect from him. His energy was fantastic. I think he should also come off the bench for Colombia too in that sorta role.
Thats where he was most useful in the last qualifiers. Then he had the great world cup as a starter...but hasn't repeated that...

Juventus advanced and Cuadrado played a very good game. I think that most of the teams with a Colombian player have advanced: Arsenal, Real Madrid, Juventus, Dortmund, Monaco. That is good indeed.

This feels like its just who C4 is. He thrives when his sheer volume of play and energy can overwhelm an opposing fullback, but when faced with better opposition the wastefulness can be frustrating. I think for the NT the key for us is having balance on the wings so that teams can't cheat on C4 and overlap mark him. I know that the sense from some here is that Zuniga isn't on the level these days, but his ability to challenge markers on that flank when interchanging with C4 (and Armero's ability to offer a threatening change of field) was a big part, IMHO, of why he was so effective in 2014 for us.
