I don't know about the typical Colombian coach but I've always had a favorable opinion of Rueda but I can't disagree with your comment about him getting too conservative in game and being "scared" to make changes.

The president is accused of embezzling money which wouldn't shock me but it is very very unlikely he gets impeached or that it is proven. Earlier in the year Sao Paolo got 18k for a libertadores match which is unheard of here. The fans haven't been happy at all, the whole situation just seems opportunistic to me. The president would be more likely to leave due to the results/debt of the club that has added up.

Against switzerland they started winning and let the swiss to make the comeback.
Thats a typical colombian coach mistake...

Then against France, you need the win to qualify, its do or die.
Ecuador went to "control them" and end up with a tie. (Dont take my word, even the comentators said the same thing...)

That winning goal for Switzerland really did not have much to do with tactics though. It was a great hustle counter down the field, good execution and a fantastic goal.

If you team is loosing and you desperately need that win to qualify because the tie is not enough. Are you going to honestly tell me that your tactic is just going to be "controll the other team?"

I get it if you want to start the game safe and see how everything evolves... but geez this was even at 2nd half

Si Pekerman por algýn motivo se va antes del mundial y a este man le va bien en México, como es, no tendría ningún problema en dejar tirado el puesto en México y venir corriendo.

Osorio's second match is against Honduras and Pinto. Honduras usually defeats Mexico at home so if Osorio can pull one out he will be in a company of his own really. The Mexican media should sing high praises since they almost never get 3 points there.

Unfortunately this match basically coincides with Colombia-Argentina so I am just going to record it and watch it afterwards.

Osorio is doing a good job with Mexico. I know people around here will just shrug their shoulders due to the perception of the CONCACAF opponents but he is really doing well. 3-0 in Canada was pure domination.

Osorio is good and all but I think Rueda is def a better coach and better with youth players. His teams also do not implode after a few months of dominating.

Unless we can bring another top foriegn coach then I'd give Rueda the fair shot after Pekerman retieres.

De acuerdo este nacional de rueda es imparable, el de osorio no era vistozo....usaba mucho jugador de mediopelo como sherman, bernal....

Rueda ya lleva potenciando a perez, marlos , berrio

I think that has more to do with Rueda being better with youth players as he said, he also brought back Nieto, Arley and Aguilar whom Osorio had sent back to A. Petrolera. Osorio would never let Perez play properly so he was becoming inconsistent. Nacional's gems are their youth players which have also now made it to NT's.

    Good Point.
Ruiz would probably be starting instead of Marlos if Orsorio were manager.
