yeah it doesn't look good for either him or Ashton Gotz, career seems to be going nowhere.

    a very long overdue update.

on trial with 3rd Liga club Cottbus.

    Kiesewetter is playing
One candidate is Jerome Kiesewetter. The 25-year-old right winger has entered the test training on Tuesday according to the "Lausitzer Rundschau" and should now recommend for a contract. Currently, the native Berliner is without a club, in the last two seasons he was at Fortuna Dusseldorf under contract and came in 21 second division games used. In the fall, played the two-time US national player in Aue, but was not committed.

another site says that his lack of playing for pretty much 9 months is a sticking point as Cottbus are struggling.

don't know the veracity but on some Cottbus board, some fans were saying that Kiesewetter didn't pan out. Yikes if true.
    Eredivisie trial failed, 1st division
    2BL trial failed, 2nd division
3rd Liga trial fail???? 3rd division

if that's the case is he headed for RL?

Cottbus signed 2 players today and no Kiesewetter.

If I were him, I'd be trying really hard for a USL move to an MLS reserve team. That way, he gets a bit of preseason under his belt, which helps with the fitness issues that I'm sure are there, and if he performs well, the pathway to the first team is pretty short.

Those contracts are usually one-year deals as well, so if it works out and he wants to go back to Europe next winter, he would have some performances to show to interested clubs.

Second division in US or in a Scandinavian country sounds like where he needs to go.
