Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF WTF 27 goals were they playing an under 16 team?? one guy scored 7 goals in 1 half was there no golie or what , montero scored 2 so that's good but I want them to play againts a real team to see how they do
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF it was just a strain from the intense preseason training that he's not used to....he'll adapt quickly
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF I think it's a good thing he scored...but I'd be proud of him if it were in the first squad. 27-0 is a joke lol...everyone on this forum could probably score 2-3 against whoever they played...that's a ridiculous score.
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF The link below shows all 27 goals from Villarreal's 27-0 destruction of minnows team Navata. http://www.villarrealcf.es/principa...rama=443&idmenu=76&idsubmenu=81&idcategoria=5
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF what a shitty team , what kind of golie and defenders do they have!. I counted 2 goals and 5 asssists for montero he looked fast but maybe those guys were really slow lol
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF Here are 2 goals and a brief interview with Montero. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odMXilAdpTM&feature=related"]YouTube - A lot of goals in Villareal - Navata = 27-0 (20.07.2009)[/ame]
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF Villarreal CF played their second pre-season match last night, in which they took on another Spanish lower division team, with the opposition this time being Vilamalla. Villarreal won this game 10-0, with Montero featuring in the second half team but unfortunately not netting any goals. Jony (3), Llorente (2), Fuster (1), Pires (3), and Ruben (1), were on the scoresheeet for the Yellow Submarine.
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF The Villarreal CF players have recently been assigned their squad numbers for the upcoming La Liga season and unfortunately Jefferson Montero was not given a number. Instead Montero has been loaned out to Villarreal B, who play their football in the Spanish Liga Adelante (2nd tier of Spanish football) after being promoted from Segunda Division B last season. Montero and his smaller Yellow Submarine will therefore be playing clubs such as Real Betis, Celta de Vigo, Real Sociedad, Recreativo Huelva, Numancia etc this coming season. http://www.villarrealcf.es/principa...oticia=8389&idseccion=7&idmenu=4&idsubmenu=35 http://www.cre.com.ec/Desktop.aspx?Id=283&e=130629
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF Fucking great....why do they keep buying players only to bench them or demote them??? Anyway - thanks for the update.
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF they're basically doin this because they make money by selling him later on just like with valencia. Idk if u guys knew but villareal made some money from the transfer when valencia went from wigan to Man U. (im not sure how much but it was some where in the 1-2 million euros)
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF That is not why they bought him... Valencia went on loan and proved himself in the Premiere League with another team. The sale between Wigan and Villareal was a smart move for Villareal to have the re-sale clause, but that is not why they bought Valencia either. What the hell is Montero supposed to prove playing for the reserves in the 2nd division? They didn't even guve him a number for crying out loud. I seriously doubt they bought him with the intention of making a few extra $$ down the line. With Monmtero, they bought him, hoped to use him, yet he is not in the managers plans and now they don't know what to do with him at the moment. Teams like Villareal need immediate results as far as good purchases. They are not in a financial position to simply buy talent as a long-term investment plan.
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF I have to agree with you, at least they are in the second division and get a little more attention than last year. I don't see Villarreal being a very productive club this year anyway, but you never know.
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF Lmao, question though, is Montero a left sided midfielder or a left winger?
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF he plays both and shifts a lot...but to me his strong side would be his right...He needs to work big time on his left foot.
Re: Jefferson Montero @ Villarreal CF Damn we have quite a few wingers now don't we.... this kind of derrails from the topic but what ever happened to that kid Jefferson Pinto? also from the U-20 and in my opinion was better than guerrero with his sharp cut back and dead on centers, last I heard he plays for emelec but I haven't seen him.
