From what I've heard, Santos only received like 15 million from the deal. The father received 40 million. ... How can you justify that as a club? And that's just one aspect of this deal. The entire board should resign, not just the president. And UEFA should intervene, but they probably won't.
What's more interesting, in that case, is why haven't Santos spoken up? You gave a potential top 3-5 future player for only 15 million in return. They need to speak up, and right now with all these rumors flying around about it being a shady deal would be perfect timing.

I find that signing to be a bit pointless. It seems that chemistry on that team is the biggest issue and Moyes hasn't been able to get them going. Getting Mata will help but it won't fix the main problem imo.
