well, now we know what theyr'e covering up. If it ain't this, holy smokes, it's got to be something insane. Er. Set aside a moment just how nuts this whole idea is...you don't send a crawling baby out to fight the tiger. You send someone with experience fighting tigers.
You send a baby out if you're a total moron who thinks tigers are cute and cuddly. Anyways, the obligatory "fake news" and "anonymous sources" so that our Trump apologists don't have to point that out.
Remember that Kushner left these contacts off of that disclosure form. His excuse was that he forgot. How in the mother********ing ******** could he forget that? This does not pass the laugh test. Tucker Carlson is on the case...of Hillary's commencement speech. That's why Fox's ratings are in the toilet all the sudden. They aren't covering the news. Even their most diehard fans realize this.
All Trump roads run through Kislyak. I guess these knuckleheads didn't consider that we've been buggin that motherf#cker for years. When he went back to Moscow and names like Manafort & Kushner were dropped, US IC was all over it.
Trump and his team are petty grifters who think they're like Hans Gruber in Die Hard. "I am an exceptional thief, Mrs. McClane." If they really wanted to grift the government, they should have taken notes from Dick Cheney - own a ****load of stock in an oil services company, then start a war that ********s up some oil infrastructure overseas so that only one company can be called on for endless government contracts to rebuild that oil infrastructure. Instead, they're charging the Secret Service the rack rate at Mar-a-Lago every weekend and playing spy with Russians. They suck at this.
Jared has to give up his security clearance, right? I mean, is there even a discussion to be had? Still, I'm reminded of the "funny because it's true" on SNL where "Lester Holt" caught Trump admitting he fired Comey to stop the Russia investigation. That didn't matter. This presidency is starting to feel like one of those Twilight Zone episodes with a mixed up world, like when Ellie May Clampett was considered hideously ugly. The US has gone completely insane right? Either that, or I have.
They're on tape colluding with a foreign power against the USA. Absolutely treason. I don't see how there's any grey area here.
1) Trump stated repeatedly during the campaign that he hoped to have better relations with Russia. 2) This allegedly took place after the election. I = 3) There is nothing illegal about Kushner talking with the Russians. Yawnnnnnnnnn. People are really starting to tune this crap out other than the haters who wanna believe there is someone more there than there ever proves to be.
Unless it's treason: That's from here: http://www.businessinsider.com/jared-kushner-wanted-secret-talks-russia-trump-2017-5?op=1 The rest of the article is worth reading too. I found this passage intriguing as well: I'm thinking maybe Kislyak sent the letter to the Post.
Well, Reuters is now reporting that the contacts preceded the election. Not that it really matters. "Back channel" contacts, especially when the administration isn't actually in office, is still a no-no.
Revenge of the IC. They may have individually voted for Trump out of some kinda dopey idea that Hillary was far worse for America. But now that they're putting the Trump/Russia puzzle together, they're scared for our sovereignty and are leaking like a sieve.
Trump's days are likely numbered. Now, whether this issue of a back-channel is actually treasonous or not remains to be seen. It's the intent of the channel that will determine that. Back-channel comms are a part of life. We used them with the North Vietnamese, the Iranians, Cubans, etc.
It depends on how many Republicans stick with their base and decide that they weren't colluding against the USA, they were colluding against the Democrat party. We'll see how many, or few, can put country above party for once.
