Don't worry, If he impresses in the world cup other teams are sure to come in for him,
if not he has a home waiting for him in Osaka

Florent Dabadie said Marseille and PSG offered Matsui.
When it comes to info about Matsui, Dabadie is really helpful.
But Matsui wants to stay at Le Mans.

Re: Japanese Abroad 2005-2006 (part II)

Why would Le Mans be looking to sell Matsui, he's there best player. doesn't make sense
If Matsui goes to Marseille i will fly to France just to give him a nice hard slap on face, He better have a word with Koji before even considering a move to that pirck of a club, Making Koji train on his own just because he didn't join some rubbish club in Isreal

Le Mans has a special deal about young players with Juventus. Three Juve players are in Le Mans now: Chiumiento, La vecchia and Grafite (not so young...)...

Gee, I wish Juve would ask Matsui...
    Just a dream, but...

    many people ignore Koji.:(
but he played full match yesterday and last Sunday.
Basel are likely to win the Swiss league, it means he has a chance to play Champions League.

Re: Japanese Abroad 2005-2006 (part II)

I personally tried to convince Inamoto to go to Italy in 2000. Perugia wanted to sign him as they had just lost Nakata and their Japanese fans. With the pretext he is shy, I made me met twice with Miyamoto (who's fluent in English) and in the end he let me know thet he was not interested.
In the end Perugia got Ahn, from Korea, and Inamoto then started his "brilliant" career in England...

My regret was that nobody was interested in Miyamoto. He was still a youngster, but it was easy to see he would become good, and besides that he is such a nice and friendly guy...

Borussia Dortmund was intrested in Miyamoto in 2003 but Dortmund had no money at this time.

They're trying to build a new stadium. If they get a lot of money from a Matsui sale, that could do it.

Re: Japanese Abroad 2005-2006 (part II)

What doesn't make sense is there selling there best players for a new stadium, wheres the logic in that. They'll end up having to fight relagation or something just so they can have a new stadium

I think they're thinking long-term. Any small team who has a really good player are always gonna get poached anyways.

Re: Japanese Abroad 2005-2006 (part II)

A friend of mine does. He has been following Osaka since Protassov played for them, and he introduced me. I also know S.D., the guy who did Perugia, Bologna and Napoli's extra-European scouting for a few years. he brought to Italy, among others, Nakata and Ahn. Also tried with Inamoto, nakamura and Moriyama.

Miyamoto's mom teaches English at a uni in Osaka where a lot of friends of mine used to teach. That's why he is fluent in English. He was VERY friendly. I used to hate Gamba before, but after knowing him, I symphasize for them (while supporting Sanga with all my heart!).
