This would be another astute piece of business for Big Sam...I love this guy, other than Moyes, he is the best manager in England...I especially love their shots of him wearing that earpiece, he looks like he's talking to his wife or gf while managing the game. :D

But it would be a good piece of business, Nakata is still a good playmaker, but I just can't figure out where he would play. Isn't he an attacking mid, JUST like Okocha? Will that mean Bolton have to go to 4-5-1. They will be exciting to watch, but Nakata will have to shrug off his injury bug.

Don't you jinx him with the "I" word.

I have always wanted to see Nakata in the Premeirship, and now I might have a chance! I am excited. :D

Why would Bolton even think of buying Nakata?

He's not even 30 yet!

Daily yomiuri is reporting that after Nakata gets his work permit, it's a done deal

    English: www.yomiuri.co.jp/dy/sports/2005811TDY28006.htm

You have to go to the english version of yomiuri but it's there, don't know why there's no direct link

THey only buy 30+ aged players...think Djorkaeff, Laville, Pierre-Yves Andre, Fernando Hierro...all oldies.

    It's a stereotype of Bolton....not necessarily true. :D

Read another story saying it would only be a 1 year loan deal, better for him cause if he impreses he could get a bigger club next year

Nikkansports is also reporting it to be a 1 year loan. Can't wait to see him in the Premiership, guess I have to get a Bolton jersey.

They seem to beat the big boys every year, for what it's worth, and they make the best of everyone else's castoffs - Okocha, Campo, Borgetti, Djorkaeff, Hierro, Diouf...

One man's trash is Bolton's treasure.

allardyce is probably the best manager in the prem. saf and wenger are also excellent, but the resources behind are second to none (expect chelski).

FYI a quick note on the one other Nihonjin in the English Premiership...

Junichi Inamoto was named to Bryan Robson's West Brom squad for Saturday's game at Man City. And since Albion midfielders Richard Chaplow and Darren Carter played a lot of minutes in WBA's reserve match against City's reserves in mid-week, I would be QUITE surprised if Ina was not in the first XI. I would, however, bet the mortgage on Ina seeing some action in the match, AT LEAST as a sub if not the starter.

Inamoto starts for West Brom, Takahara's on bench agian for Hamburg as it seems they play only with Mpenza up front but Lauth has replaced him at half time so seems Takahara's 3rd striker now :( , nakamura starts again for Celtic possibly carrying Injury, Heracles play later, don't know if Hiriyama plays

Hiriyama misses tonight's game because of inflammation of the ear, strange injury
