I still don't know how this happened, but Japan managed to lose to Bahrain 1-0. Despite completely dominating the game, Japan still could not score on a team Lebanon and UAE had no trouble scoring multiple goals on. And on Bahrain's 1 chance of the game, their free kick was blocked by the Japanese wall but fell to an open Bahrain player who put it in the goal. Had Tulio been there, it could have been cleared perhaps, but he was stretchered off in the first half and replaced by Yuki Abe. Not only is Tulio injured, but the Bahrain free kick came after a Nasu foul, and Nasu was shown a yellow, so he will miss the next game.

perhaps I should have written in the original thread.

anyway, all I can say is Bahrain was very lucky, and Japan is very lucky Lebanon tied UAE. Yes Bahrain did again show their scumbag qualities with their antics after the goal. Especially when the goalie suddenly threw the ball into the crowd and flopped to the ground for no reason. Takamatsu ran after him but didn't get to punch his face unfortunately.
