I won't be able to watch the match in fullest, just drop a look a here and there =( (I'll record it though)
Hopefully Yoshitake has a plan to deal with the long balls, crosses and stuff. For example, not letting to opponents touch the ball :devilish:

Oh wow, I really hope Yoshitake knows what he's doing..
    GK白岡ティモシィ、DF 石田崚真、 宮原和也(主将)、茂木力也、 三好康児、MF 仲村京雅、 会津雄生、 斎藤翔太、FW 永島悠史、 瓜生昂勢、杉森考起

Shiraoka, Ishida, Miyahara, Motegi, Miyoshi, Nakamura, Aizu, Saito, Nagashima, Uryuu, Sugimori

I've gotta admit that on paper it doesn't exactly look like a good line up to me but I hope to be proven wrong

He's continuing with rotation I think, they were saying experience is the no.1 priority.

Also..more importantly…….what was that song they played for the Japan team? Cause wasn't the national anthem.

right, but Sugimoto played just '45 last time so I'm a bit surprised here. Let's hope for the best. As for the song, I have no audio (and actually won't be able to watch the match in its fullest)

After all these matches I've got faith Yoshitake knows exactly what he's doing. Off topic but didn't realise he was a high school maths teacher (Reported in a FIFA interview), so I'm guessing he only makes calculated risks...

"Oh wow, I really hope the players Yoshitake gave faith in can do the job today. I would've put at least Sugimoto"
And we're down 1-0 in the meanwhile

They're still passing the ball around nicely and looking dangerous. These Swedish CB look massive compared to our strikers though, they're getting shut down quickly.

Btw, if the match ends with a draw there won't be any extra time. PK

f**k the swedish team are massive.

…….as for the "Japanese Dida", i think right now he's the "New Kamita" (that was the '09 keeper's name iirc).

well he decided to get all of those lads 4 games to taste the world football instead of going only for the win.

In a way too bad because this team could have gone all the way to the semis at least

I know, he did well in doing that. But the match against Tunisia was useless, so he should've saved the best players for this one... or maybe they were and we rated them differently of course.
But you know me, I don't like too much blame on the coach. They missed some chances now from what I could see\hear and unfortunately that's not the coach's fault. Football can be cruel

edit: yes Watanabe maybe shouldn't have played '90 against Tunisia...

Was really painful to watch though them passing it around like they are leading 5:1 instead of trying to risk it and shoot and so on

The match against Tunisia wasn't useless for seeding. If they lose playing it lightly and take a strong opponent you would be complaining too.

But nobody said to play it lightly at all. The 1st half lineup you saw today could have been very well sided against Tunisia, for example (of course you had to plan things after the Venezuela win).
