Its crazy they let Ceballos go to be honest, he's the type of player they don't have in their midfield who can run a ton and play deeper but he'll play Modric and Kroos until their legs fall off if he can.

If there are any two players I would bet on to play 45+ games this season it is these two.

Their levels of fitness are uncanny.

    But @villus is right

Zidane bet on getting Pogba and let go of Ceballos and Llorente..now that midfield is thin as ice. Casemiro gets hurt and we are done for. We already have a leaky defense. Modric is getting old. Kroos doesn't seem committed anymore

Again. As much as zidane is stubborn...all james has to do is stay fit and healthy...though that's not always up to the player

That’s a big ask given his recent track record. Hope you’re right! Would love to see him hit 40 games this season

Hazard is a fixture...bale and benz too. Bale gets injured too though.

Vinicius not so much. Don't think ZZ rates him and the kid has unfortunately regressed.

Will be interesting to see what happens with isco and vazquez.

I think u r right though. He needs to train hard cuz his only chance us actually being available

I think one of Real Madrid's biggest issues is Casemiro, he's a great destroyer but he's not amazingly disciplined positionally and he isn't press resistant or a great passer. Think Real not even really having a back up for him or an option other then Kroos in games they will have a lot of possession or have to face a high press is a problem that has been evident last year and will continue to hurt them going forward, Zidane has to change the formula and evolve that team or he's gonna struggle. James when has been better then Modric and Kroos recently, wasn't the case before when he was in Madrid and made sense they played ahead of him, that's not the case anymore I don't think but Zidane has his favorites.

It will be interesting to see what happens starting on Saturday.

You would think if James is recovered he would start against Levante while the main starters would play the following Wednesday in Paris.

If he does not start on Saturday that could be a good sign he will play in the Champions League.

But of course it would not be surprising to see him on the bench in both matches making many people around here angry.

Just have to wait and see how it plays out.

i heard Zidane is a big fan of bigsoccer.com and his lineup choices are primarily aimed to spite us =) which has apparently has worked the past couple of years LOL

James did post a pic of himself in the weight room yesterday so hopefully that's a sign that he's fit again and ready to go...

He needs to play well and get a bunch of goals and assist. He played decently in his 1 start this season. He needs to win his spot. It’s Real Madrid, not Levante

Sounds great, except for all the times he played well did everything right and was benched for Lucas ********ing Vasquez. Bottom line, don't trust anything Zidane says and trust his actions only.

The press seems to be pressing a lot of positive James propaganda

Either Madrid is leaking good stuff to sell him in the winter window or he has really turned the corner there.

Well they won't let him go for free; even if to just keep him happy they're likely trying to keep his ego stroking and get a contract extending to make some profit off of him. If they don't use him at all he will have NO reason to extend and thus he may have a bit of a favorable situation if he waits till the last possible minute to extend depending on how he's treated or he is sold before the end of the season occurs.
