Heynckes hails @FCBayernUS key man @jamesdrodriguez https://t.co/DE9JFRsG2R https://t.co/z8rVraXQng— Mark Lovell (ex-blue tick ) (@LovellLowdown) December 12, 2017
The best thing about a rocky start - there's only one way to go.....UP!!!!! on in Bayern's case JUPP!!!!!!!!! (bad joke....but i tried)
Played 75 minutes in Bayern's 2-1 win over Dortmund to advance to the quarters of the German Cup. With better finishing, James could have close to about 10 assists this season. Bayern now on Winter break so James has a month off now.
to be fair, having watched many Bayern matches this season, his teammates also generate A LOT of opportunities. Unlike RM, he's much more reserved in his role. He attacks but rarely takes on the 1 v 1 and most of his opportunities come in thru crosses on either side of the pitch. He's a more 'complete 'player at Bayern but far less dangerous/scoring threat than he was at RM. Not sure if it's completely by design or its just him/teammates getting used to his play...probably a bit of both.
Not a month - just from tomorrow to January 1st. January 2nd starts the training camp in Qatar. And the Bundesliga starts January 12th this year. James created a lot of chances - but most of set-pieces and crosses. Bayern is not Real Madrid with extremely strong players with their head so the conversion rate for that kind of chances for him at Bayern is pretty normal. And a lot of teams even play with 3 central defenders against Bayern today what makes that even more difficult. With Martinez, Süle and Hummels playing at the same time that has gotten better this season with corners and set-pieces - but not in normal play. If you e.g. look at the data of Ribery or Müller - they have e.g. as many assists from non crosses each season as James had in all of his time at Real. But I guess he will adapt. Maybe it is interesting for you to see that in the data of whoscored https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/37/Show/Germany-Bayern-Munich Switch to detailed and choose accumulation total. If you then choose Category: Key Passes + Subcategory Type and Category Assists you see that even if there was a lot key passes by crosses + corners + freekicks at the end the most assists weren't done by that. --------------------- I think he got really important the moment Thiago got injured. Bayern does not have anybody who can partly fill his role as passer in the middle. That is what makes predictions for Heynckes favourite team for the big matches difficult. I can either see him going with a midfield of Martinez + Vidal + James or a Martinez + Thiago + Müller midfield. If it is Vidal and James it will be Lewy + Müller + one of Coman/Ribery/Robben for the offensive positions - if Thiago and Müller it is Lewy + Robben + one of James/Coman/Ribery. In 12/13 it was Martinez + Schweinsteiger + Kroos with Müller on the right until Kroos got injured in the Juventus match, Müller took over his spot and Robben came in for the right. That injury probably was a blessing as the duo Müller and Robben run havoc in the last stages that season.

Shows most of his chances created. Definitely misses Ramos, Cristiano, Benzema and Bale on these crosses of his (they might miss him just as much because of these crosses though too).
So rumors going around that Ronaldo is pissed at Zidane for letting James go and that he doesn't like Isco? Also, James not afraid to agree with Mourinho about Zidane being the issue for Real Madrid's woes.
Neither should Ronaldo. But it's nothing new with James as he's always been honest about how he feels.
