Yeah. No I think best case for Roma is if either Chelsea or Atletico wins. A draw would not be good. Roma already drew vs Atletico, so if Atletico wins, then there is a chance Roma can get through if they at least win one of their games vs Chelsea, and if Atletico beats Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as well. If Chelsea wins, then Roma will need at least a draw vs Chelsea in one of the games and avoid defeat to Atletico in Spain.
It's time to forget about Italy v England finally. Don't see any way Italy catches England in the short -term. They have 2nd place for the foreseeable future. Its now Italy v Germany for 3rd.
The best way to compare leagues is based off oftheir results against one another. It`s too early to judge that, we`re 2 games in to only half of the UCL groups ...
I think you are probably right about that. The problem is England has many good teams and there is always at least one of them that sparks or has a good season. 2014-15 season might have not been the best, but I believe that was do to many tough draws in the rounds of 16.
What? The UCL matchday 2 isn't even finished until tonight as well as the EL which plays tomorrow, You're uploading info off of 1 Serie A team compared to 3 PL teams ... Lmfao that's the type of thing ItalyAzzurriFan would do if Serie A had 3 games in a night and the PL only had 1 team.
Well I think EPL is pretty safe now. Chelsea won at Atletico which was really a toss up in my opinion, and Man Utd got the win they needed. However though Bundesliga is not. Juve and Roma won, but Bayern lost 3-0 to PSG. This is just more proof that the Bundesliga is falling apart, and I believe the Serie A could take over the Bundesliga really soon.
Wait seriously? What are the coefficient points now? Is that just for this season or for the past 4 years? Lets hope we can continue with the Europa League tomorrow. Atalanta beating Lyon at home will be really tough but at least Lyon aren't the team they used to be now that Tollisso and Lacazette are gone.
Serie A still has 3 teams playing today and the Bundesliga also has 3 teams playing. Serie A: Lazio vs Zulte Waregem Milan vs Rijeka Lyon vs Atalanta Bundesliga: Ostersunds vs Herta Berlin Cologne vs Stella Rosa(Love the name) Ludogoretz vs Hoffenheim All Italian and German teams are favourites in their games except for Lyon vs Atalanta. Lyon even though are weaker than last year are still favourites to win at home. Premier League: Everton vs Apollon BATE vs Arsenal Both English teams should win if they try to. Not sure if Everton really wants to be in this comp after their performance away to Atalanta which was heartless. It looked like they didn't even want to show up.
For 2017-2018 so far Serie A has 5.166 and Bundesliga has 2.428. For the four complete and one partial season starting 2013-2014, Serie A has 64.082 and Bundesliga has 63.998. Giving 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw (that's how the coefficients are calculated), Bundesliga clubs have 6 points from 13 games, which is 0.46 per game. Using the same method, Bundesliga clubs got 1.18 points per game in 2016-2017.
I am not positive that Hoffenheim and Kohln are favorites. Ludogorets is not a team to be underestimated and they are at home. Arsenal are favorites to win but they can't always be trusted especially away from home.
Lazio is 1-0 up. Kohln and Hertha are both 1-0 down. Arsenal 3-1 up. Boy I am starting to really think we will surpass the Bundesliga big time.
Well Nice wins for Lazio and Milan. Atalanta drew but was playing arguably their toughest game of the group and a draw to Lyon away is a good result for them. All three Bundesliga teams lost. Arsenal won, but Everton drew. Great week for Serie A and we are increasing the gap between us and Bundesliga.
To be honest, Bundesliga is a bit unlucky this season. Köln haven't been as bad as right now in years (0 wins in the Buli), Bayern are in a similar slump. Dortmund just have an incredibly hard group and Leipzig has absolutely no international experience. Hoffenheim also lack experience and got a tough draw for the qualifier.
I agree about all the points you made about those teams, fact is though that they were the best teams in the league last season
I have to disagree with you about Dortmund. They are a really overrated team. Tuchel even got sacked last summer. Yes their group isn't easy but 2 seasons ago they comfortably knocked out Spurs in the Europa League, and last season drew 2-2 with Real Madrid in both games in the group. Dortmund aren't good. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern, Atletico, Napoli, Man City, Chelsea, PSG, Sevilla, and possibly Man Utd, Roma, and Spurs are all better. Their could be others as well that we don't know about yet.
What are the chances of victories for Napoli and Roma? I know Chelsea and Man City are definitely favorites especially with the games being played in England but what do you think? Napoli has started the season pretty great except for the loss to Shakhtar. Man City appears to be having a pretty good start to the season as well but the only real team they have played so far was against Chelsea. Yes they beat Liverpool 5-0 as well, but I am not too impressed with Liverpool in general this season honestly, especially their UCL performances at the moment. What do you think are the chances of a draw or victory for Napoli? I also notice that they play kind of a similar way, although I do think Sarri is a little more direct while Guardiola is a little more towards possession based. Very well could turn into a tactical battle. I also expect both teams to score at least once, likely more. I am not sure if it will be as thrilling as Man City vs Monaco last season, but I am sure there will be goals. Guardiola has often got out-coached, so while I do think Man City are the favorites, Napoli have a good chance. Regarding Roma vs Chelsea. OMG I hope this doesn't look ugly. However one thing that does favor Roma at least is that Chelsea are dealing with a number of injury woes especially in midfield, and Morata might not be 100% fit yet. Kostas Manolas is out as well, but I think thats pretty much all for Roma. Conte also has a reputation of overworking his players and they get too tired to give their all for the UCL games. Chelsea is not the team they were last season, and have definitely slipped up in a few games. However I am having a hard time trusting Roma to give their all. They definitely have been more consistent since Garcia has left, but Roma still sometimes blow games that they should be winning. Although by NO means this is a game that Roma are the favorites and expected to win. What do you make of Roma's chances?
Slim to none for Roma considering their injuries and the fact that Chelsea is just better all round. Napoli probably has about a 30-35% chance. Man City is crushing their league and although the same could be said for Napoli at the moment, Man City has more depth all around the pitch. I also think Koulibaly is suspended for this
Well, Spurs essentially guaranteed advancement to the knockout phase today. Still 6 points ahead of Dortmund. Even if Dortmund wins in London, Spurs just need to beat APOEL at home. Man City seems to have their group in the bag. Napoli and Shakhtar will be a close fight for second. Even Liverpool have a great chance to win their group now after Sevilla were blown-out in Moscow!
