How some players go to play indoor soccer in the off season, is there any way to know where our players are going?
Try setting up a "Google Alert" with the player's name, then when strories appear somewhere on the web you will receive an email automatically. I still follow many players from previous years that way. Though, of course, there is not much indoor soccer covered in the news online or otherwise. Best wishes, Steve
...and a number of players have Facebook accounts that they are ok with Fans becoming Friends -- just search for their names and make a friend request.
Neil Hlavaty has signed with Polish Ekstraklasa side Jagiellonia Bialystok http://www.jagiellonia.pl/zawodnik.php?z=265 http://www.yanks-abroad.com/get.php?mode=content&id=5393
Lol. CCSULTRA, well done but you aren't getting much action are you? You needs a girlfriend my friend.
My girlfriend is just fine, thanks. I follow the Ekstrklasa and Tomasz Frankowski is one of my favorite players. I was surprised to see his name on the team and just thought I'd pass the information along.
Thanks for the info! You just reminded me I need to get the all-time roster up to date again. I'll get started on Friday (next couple of days are busy).
Anthony Peters He is actually playing professionally in England. Can't remember the club, not Premier League or anything.
Ibrahim Kante is playing for Rockford (MISL). Ryan Stewart is playing top-flight in Trinidad. Troy Roberts is likely to catch on in San Jose or LA. Gordon has several offers to think about. Heard that Eric Carpenter has a tryout with Portland. Teteh and Evan are drawing the most intense interest.
Do you know where in Trinidad? I heard the same about Troy and Gordon. Good to hear Eric is getting a tryout. He didn't get much playing time but he was a good guy. I really wanna know where Teteh and Evan are going to end up. I wish we had Teteh all season instead of loaning him out.
Taken from the Americans Abroad forum, ex-CCS player Tomiwa Ogunsola (2008) is currently on trial with a team in the Finnish Premier League.
Joshua Boateng (2009) is in Mexico playing for Leones Negros de Guadalajara Neil Hlavaty (2008) is back in the US looking for a new team
Eric Carpenter (2009) has been invited to the Portland Timbers invite-only combine. http://www.portlandtimbers.com/newsroom/features/index.html?article_id=1522
Didn't see his name on the final list that made the squad in Portland. Gordon should be signing soon, same with Troy.
Troy is in camp with San Jose. Gordon is the best player Tampa Bay has signed so far. He should have started last year. The rumor about Underwood going to Minnesota as a head coach is not true. Manny Lagos was announced as their choice today. Anybody hear from Godfrey?
Just a friendly reminder that all Cleveland Fans living in Ohio are being given free season tickets to the Rochester Rhinos this year. Please call the offices at 585-454-5425 if you are interested.
I see Neil Hlavaty is now with the NASL Minnesota NCS Stars. As well Israel Sesay is on trial with them. http://www.insidemnsoccer.com/2010/03/18/nsc-stars-open-camp-with-12-signed-players-and-23-invitees/
