    support for oneself.
    Demographics!
Sadly, Univision and Telemundo are not geared toward the learned bilingual, but toward the functionally iliterate socioeconomic limited English proficient.
They (rightfully, I admit it) expect us bilingues to afford paid tv and watch all cultural programming and foreign channels we can have everyday. Their maket research surely must show that their core tv audience is poor and ignorant. Otherwise, we would see Wheel of FOrtune...

It's very simple, Mexicans make up the majority in the United States.

Mexicans don't want to tune in to hear about Paraguay, or Colombia or Argentina. Mexicans tune in to hear about America, Chivas, El Tri, Mexican boxers and mexican actors actresses and so on.

Me personally i could give a $hit about what's going on in the news with Bolivia, Paraguay, Ecuador, Guatepeor and the rest of the 3rd world Nobody's.

As far as Latin America is concerned the only countries that matter economically are the NIC's like Mexico, Brazil, and Chile. The rest is almost as third world as Africa.

Now tell me why should Univision and Telemundo give the rest of Latin America more than 15% of their promgramming attention again?

What a piece of shit post.

You do realize that Mexico isn't a first world country ?

Your comments that those are the only Latin American countries that matter economically is laughable as well. Especially considering that in terms of economies Mexico is in the exact same level as: Argentina, Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, Uruguay, Venezuela ext... as a upper-middle-income economy as determined by the World Bank.

    http://web.worldbank.org/WBSITE/EXT...~theSitePK:239419,00.html#Upper_middle_income

You also realize that the GDP per capita of countries like Argentina is higher than that of Mexico?

    https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ar.html#Econ

    https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/mx.html#Econ

And I won't even mention Puerto Rico who not only is classified as a Upper Income Economy(one of 60 countries in the world) it's GDP per capita is also way higher than Mexico's.

"As third world as Africa right?"

No one's attacking Mexico as a country(unlike your friend zendem who decided to take out his hate on actual countries ). We're saying that Univision and Telemundo suck ass.

You seem to failed to notice where "Viva RoCkism!" a Mexican now living in the US agreed with us.

    Whatever.

We all know these kind of threads are as normal as the 'athlete" threads in the spazzoid boards. Every few months or so, you people gather to criticize everything Mexican. It's in your fucking genes. ;)

    You can't help it.

    I understand.

    Dr. Knowshit,

Mexico is part of a group of nations that fall under the category of NIC, you should really look that up, research on this alone will shut you up. It's important that you know everything about NIC's as they are the new growing economic players of the world (not a bad list to be a part of) and arent considerd third world...you do realize Mexico is not a part of the third world right?

Why on earth are you bringing up Puerto Rico...when talking about nations...Don't compare a small little island thats being taken care of by the United States that could potentially become a state and isn't even a country to a nation like Mexico, that's as of recently importing and exporting in the TRILLIONS, and will only be getting stronger.

Belize? BELIZE!? A small tiny nation with a population of a few million a world economic player like Mexico? Really

Venezuela the Socialist crap hole that isn't even a legitamit democracy, a nation being led by a leftwing nutcase on par with Mexico? Iran, Venezuela and Cuba aren't worthy of ever being mentioned for anything worth a $hit when it comes to economics. Terrorism for Iran and Communism/Socialism for Venezuela and Cuba yes.

Argentina has a slightly higher GDP and most of that has to do with their population when compared to Mexico. As far as who is doing better economically, well the answer is obvious and no it's not Argentina. Argentina is still recovering from it's ruthless economic crash that it suffered at the turn of the century.

Here's some very easy reaserch i got in exactly 20 seconds...

On top of this economic issue, in the end it all comes down to the fact that Mexicans make up the majority of Latin American immigrants in the United States.

Honestly i'm tired of all these tired and old threads about hating networks or t.v. shows or sports telecasts that cater to Mexicans. If you don't like it then don't tune in because you know what, everyone knows exactly why they are doing this. BECAUSE YOU DON'T MATTER TO THEM. If you boycoted they wouldn't know the differance.

    Booya goodnight Latin America

Did I say they were third world? No, but they certainly aren't first. Your dismisal of other Latin American countries is really pathetic and arrogant. And even funny considering the immigration problems Mexico has.

I'm bringing up Puerto Rico as an example of a country that's not "as third world as Africa" and is part of Latin America. Like it or not it's rated ABOVE Mexico as an upper income economy. It matters economically. Your arrogance can't let you see that.

Why don't you argue it against the people of the World Bank since they are the ones that included it in the same economic group as Mexico.

Send them an e-mail and go present your argument ohh wise one.

How is this relevant to anything? What a ranting piece of shit you are.

Learn to read please. I said GDP per capita. Not GDP overall. Of course Mexico will have a higher GDP than Argentina and other Latin American countries. Sans Brazil their population is much much more than the rest.

What I'm arguing is that there are other countries in Latin America that "matter economically". Despite what your pea-sized brain might think.
