Is Gooch setting a YA record?

Standard Liege is undefeated in its first 17 games this season.

If you go back to Gooch's last couple games with Liege in 2006-2007 season, they were undefeated as well (w/Gooch on pitch).

So, with Gooch on pitch- Liege has gone 19-20 games undefeated in regular competition.

Question: Has any Yank ever played on a team with such a streak? I don't think Reyna's Rangers did near as well- even in their best season. Ditto O'Brien/Ajax.

I guess that depends on whether or not you count that Frankie Simek was part of the Arsenal squad that went undefeated. I think he was with them then anyway, even if he didn't play.
