Anyone know if they do national anthems and what do they do for Ireland? The flag is neither the Tricolour nor the Union Jack.

Believe it or not, they've done very, very well. Pakistan are all out for 132, meaning Ireland need 2.66 runs per over to win. If this happens, it would be the biggest upset in the cricket world cup ever.

OK. Ireland win. An over is 6 balls bowled.

And when I posted, Ireland had a very good chance of reaching that target; as they did.

One of my first paying gigs was for The Irish Cricket Magazine, long since defunct, and while I understood the intricacies of the game then, they have subsequentially eluded me. Must be the Guinness. Nevertheless even I know that 133 for 7 wkts beats 132 all out, given that there's 11 on a cricket team.

If you have 11 outs, and with 11 outs you make 132 runs. The other side then has a go, and with their 11 outs they make 133 runs - actually they only needed 7 of their 11 outs to do so.

133 beats 132 in most sports, except golf, no?

Added to the fact that Ireland still have 4 outs left when they reached 133.

Only one player gets to "bat" per match right? And when they are out they can't hit again right?

Pakistan beat Zimbwabe - Ireland qualify with a game to spare.

You'd have to think the Windies have too much for them, but then again, you would have said the same before the Pakistan match too.
