Yes but why does the state of Asian, Korean or Thai football concern an Italian national? I am very puzzled.

No, JD is a top-notch journo whom I respect a lot. I mean it's great that a foreigner is taking interest in Asian football but....

I actually understand GoonerDoz's skepticism. I think it's perfectly natural to have non-Koreans following our KNT now. The only problem is that out of all the non-Koreans that may follow KNT, you'd think Italians would be the last in the pecking order after 1966/2002. I initially thought he was a sock and I still have my doubts.

There are other non-Koreans here too, some posting quite regularly. And passing up on the opportunity to watch the KNT live in Thailand...you sure you can consider yourself Korean? :p

I didnt forget about the 2002 world cup and i used to hate KNT back then (i was 11)

Sure, you can have hard feeling about some national team but after 14 years...seriously.

I don't see why it matters whether or not an Italian supports our KNT. This isn't racial politics. We all share a common love of the KNT here regardless of race.

This is actually pretty nice to read. A lot of people always scream and shout "******** South Korea" whenever anything referring to the country or 2002 comes up.

it's usually the non-italians/spaniards who are more up in arms over 2002. We all know who those perps are.

If I was Italian, I would have hated on Chrisitan Vieri for missing this sitter on the 89th minute.

No, his passing range is short/limited nor does he go forward to support the offense. Built like a tank, extremely aggressive, covers a lot of ground but that's about it. His tackling needs work imo. At times, it is too rash & reckless (which results to him collecting cards often).

I did. We cant only blame the ref for this, we also have our sins for that elimination.

While watching the game, i was very worried cause we were tired and nervous, and then...

I'm sure the way we lost in 2002, was a motivation for the 2006 world cup (half of the squad was in Korea also)

RO16: Korea beats Italy; Italy wins 2006 WC
RO8: Korea beats Spain; Spain wins 2010 WC
RO4: Korea loses to Germany; Germany wins 2014 WC
Third place: Korea loses to Turkey; Turkey ain't next but it'd be hilarious if Brazil (who beat Germany in the 2002 final) won 2018 lol
