Glad to know that the Chicago Fire have a (valid?) discovery claim* in on Fernando Torres. *Ya think people saw it on Hauptman's or Rodriguez's whiteboard?
I'm honestly laughing so hard at Bradley skying that penalty to lose the CONCACAF Champions League final. What a joke of a player. "The lion doesn’t care about the opinion of the sheep"? Zlatan is a lion and he should be embarrassed to have ever used that quote before losing to Trinidad. At the start of the shootout I was hoping I could see Bradley take one and surely enough he did and shanked it. He needs to take his head out of his a**
I'm sure MLS HQ is thoroughly disappointed to wake up knowing they can't ride TFC's nut as hard as anticipated. I'll pay good money to snag a TFC 2018 CCL Champions t-shirt.
Bradley has John Terry syndrome, thinking they are special. Nice that they now both have a PK miss that cost their teams championships.

But also more entertaining - both the promo and the actual soccer. (the t-shirt advertised on the post looks a lot like a button rather than a t-shirt however and that strikes of a Uniony kind of move)
Rumors are swirling that the Fire are pushing to sign Fernando Torres, with DCU, Houston, Montreal, and SKC also in the mix. DCU is in the hunt for Carlos Tevez, too. Galaxy are interested in Mario Balotelli. Hey, Jay ...
When has this team ever touted the opposition's star players to entice fans to atten- HAHAHAHAHAH! Almost got through that statement.
Rooney to DCU http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...s-join-DC-United-closes-12-5million-move.html http://www.skysports.com/football/n...t-to-leave-everton-to-join-mls-side-dc-united https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44069924 He may not be the player he once was, but he's definitely a "big name" even many outside the hardcore soccer fandom would recognize.
At 32, he's 3 years older than Sapong & Simpson. Even at the hefty asking price, he's still an upgrade over what we have.
This may be unwise money spent in the end (Rooney is in decline, but hard to tell until he steps on the pitch for Olsen). If the Union were to do something like this (they can't), I don't think I would be in favor of bringing in a declining Englishman...but at the same time, he's still better than any attacking option the Union currently has. Problem for the Union, though, would be nobody could pass him the ball. So, I guess it would be a waste of money in the end, anyway.
18 months older than Bedoya; younger than Haris. I think he will struggle over here with his fitness.
He's an "old" 32 as well. There's a lot of miles on those legs. He's played a ton of matches during his club and international career. He's also had some injury issues as well. He'll put butts in those new Audi Field Seats, and bring some buzz to a very pedestrian DC United Team for a weeks in July though.
I agree with this. The guy was also a smoker and a drinker. I don't watch much Everton (or really EPL anymore), but I used to watch quite a bit of Manchester United and his decline there was extremely noticeable (and part of what transitioned him more into midfield). I'm sure DCU will play him as more of a dedicated 9. For that price being thrown around it's all very yeesh, and I'm glad it's not my team.
