Barely made the 5 game minimum. JDG is in the same category as Gilberto: players that the Union claimed to have signed, but that I've never seen in Union gear, so I'm suspicious and think it could be part of some huge conspiracy....WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO HIDE UNION!?!?!?

Edit: we've had some super obscure players in our 7 years. It'd be a fun sporacle trivia quiz to have the photo of every Union player in history, and to have to name the player.

No throwbacks to year 1? Nakazawa?

Hoffman was one of those players fans super overrated and always wondered why he didn't play more or wasn't given more of a chance. He always looked pretty terrible to me when he did play, and his career path afterwards has proven that to be the case. He's a lower league player and not cut out for MLS.

I vote this guy because I still can't believe that he started in the only Union playoff game I have ever been to:

Most certainly Kyle Nakazawa. He was labeled as a set piece specialist, but he was horrible with a deadball. Otherwise, he racked up a grand total of 1 goal and 3 assists in 2200 minutes. There's a good reason he retired at 24.

Porfirio Lopez. Shavar Thomas. Christian Hernandez. The one I hated most to see on the field: Stefani Miglioranzi.

Hernandez (2 games) and Thomas (1 gloriously awful appearance against TFC) don't make the cut.

I'm going with Josue Martinez or Rais.

For sustained awfulness I'd have to go with Fernandes. Somehow 2 managers failed to see he was as useless as a chocolate teapot.

We're so bad that a thread that's supposed to be about other teams sucking has turned into a thread about us sucking

"Sucks" is a part of the title, but I write what I write slagging and extolling the second part. I view it as a place to talk about the league as a whole. Maybe some others just got fixated on that first part and drew a natural inference?

A A Ron Wheeler, sucked at two positions simultaneously.

    Michael Lahoud

    Andrew Wenger

I asked @Bryce Union and he immediately replied, "That's easy, Rias M'Bolhi! No question."

"at least Minnesota are on, I can put that game on and feel less bad about the Union by seeing how much worse Minnesota are"...*sees they're tied 1-1* :(

Update: Live table, Minnesota have more points than us

Idle musings from a "Wii Weekend" #5.........

That'll stand for Weather, Injuries & Insider trading

I hate international games. They wreck league games and teams and serve no real purpose except to line the pockets of Septic Bladder and his succesor associates. As a public service, let me save devotees some time:

Germany is the best-and then there's the rest.
    #shortcut.
The end product is always the MIA's upon resumption of local hostilities, and this week proved no exception. MLS only added to the tally.

Toronto lost Irwin (oomph) and about 6 chances to put KC away before the conditions and Not Handsome Peter knuckled down to the draw. Sporting have changed their style by necessity, and defend and bore like Philly strives to do.

    Bodacious Tata's:
Atlanta was always up against it without Martinez, but gave a credible account on the road against the champs. No fear on the carpet, they apparently begin a long road stretch while the Bees conduct spring practice, but Martino looks upon it as a chance to learn more about his side and continue with their development. I want to cry..............

Columbus has got themselves into a bit of a groove now, reverting back to their own style in disposing of the Lions. Can't wait to see what Kekuta Mannaise brings to the picnic when he settles in.........Orlando lost Aja in the heat of the moment, interesting to watch Kreis adjust what so far had been an excellent pairing with Spector.

This little Piggy went to market, this little Piggy stayed home-because home is now a slaughter house........ Guy caught his fair share of skepticism, but Basti sure looked up to it for one weekend at least. He has an understanding with Solingnac already-which is good because DeLeeuw..........ewwww nasty..........

It's possible RSL is worse than the Union. Ponder that, as you think about the model they were under Jason & Garth. Bingham now has a brace of gaffes but Nick.......WTF?

Tchani got some minutes off the bench in Vancouver's comeback from a 2-1 deficit...........

Will end with Portland-NE. Valeri had a terrific strike, game otherwise largely unremarkable. Halftime was special though. What Twellman said about Wilmer Cabrera, Cubo and his dad ought to be played on a continuous loop at the Union's training facility until Curtin voluntarily resigns.......................
