Stop being pessimistic! You blew up on IFN. Mate we are fine. Look at the squad we played. Wim can not be that stupid to do that again.

Friendlies are about testing players and Palestine are a pretty strong squad with some good results recently.

We did not test players though. We played the same guys that practically drew against Nepal and narrowly beat Maldives.

Raju Gaikwad was one of our starting centerbacks and he only has 5 caps this season in the I-League. The I-League is entering Round 20 and India is starting a guy who has only played 1/4th of that. Meanwhile we have no strikers. Sunil Chhetri has less than 5o total minutes this season. I dont care if he plays for Sporting Portugal "B". Also our substitute forwards were an inconsistant Joaquim Abranches and off-form Manandeep Singh. CK Vineeth is the top scorer among all Indians in the I-League and all he could do is find the bench. Arnab Mondal has been the best defender and yet he is not even in the squad at all. Same with Ravanan.

Overall this was not our best squad at all. India has much better players and should have won today. If Wim can pick better players next time, the players that deserve to be selected then India can qualify easy but not if this continues.

I wonder why he didnt select his strongest team on the park? or even tested players out instead of picking the same team?
    interesting..

I wonder that to. Again, one of the players only has 5 caps this season. It is very strange.

They have an awful lot of work to do. They have to be on championship winning form to survive. Personally, I think theirs too much to do. But going down, might just strengthen the game in general and maybe sort out the second level into an actual league system.

Dream on mate :) If Mohun Bagan finish in the relegation spots then the AIFF will save them somehow. Just like when River Plate were relegated in Argentina and the FA there saved them.

As for the 2nd Division. I still stick to getting rid of it for a few years and revamping our system into a J.League type system in which we develop the top tier and then when ready we start a 2nd Division.

Churchill brothers just signed Sunil Chetri until the end of the season, not sure if Belal Arezou's transfer will be completed now?

When is the exact date of Churchil Brothers v. Kitchee?
Some sites say it is on Feb 26, while the others say it is on March 5, I am confused.
