Hopefully he stays where he is. Medio tiempo and other asshole sources are trying their hardest to push the idea that he’s near gone but nothing about what the coach has said has even remotely supported that idea.
Galaxy is concerned the potential Chicharito deal could fall apart at this stage, sources tell CBS Sports. #MLS #LAGalaxy 😮— Roger Gonzalez (@RGonzalezCBS) January 16, 2020

it's par for the course when it comes to transfers, our players still don't have the pedigree that say Argentinos, Brasileros, or even Colombian have these days in Europe. It always seems our guys need a lot of further time and development (hence $$$$ to club that buys them) to be able to hack it in Europe, add to that the outrageous money Mexicans club usually want and the result is little to no outbound transfers. Which makes me wonder if liga MX is really that good at player development. SA players don't count, they show up to liga MX already with history behind them even if they are relatively young (<25 YO)
Keep in mind that SA has had youth academies for many years. I remember seeing a documentary from the 80s on Brazilian youth academies. Whereas in Mexico it's still relatively new. And although Mex have made great strides they're still trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. One of the problems i currently see is after a kid turns 21ish if they're not yet ready for the first team they're stuck in limbo. They're too good for the sub 20 but not good enough for the first team. A strong 2nd and 3rd division would do wonders for player development in Mexico.
Chicha transfer a done deal: https://www.goal.com/en/news/la-gal...nsfer-from-sevilla/14otoevg2f4fy1osf7t97qbqnd MLS making moves.....
What moves? Overpaying for aging stars and underperformers in order to try to achieve recognition? Fine by me. That's not the way to make the quality of the whole league better.
Nah, every single venue he hits will get an attendance bump. Too many paisas willing to over pay. Paisas can't help it but overpay to feel a little closer to Mexico. FMF, MLS and sponsors know this. But that bump per game will not make MLS better.
BTW, I'm a Chicago Fire Season Ticket Holder, not as an investment in the MLS or soccer in the US ( whose growth I'm not opposed to) but as an investment in my kids and my relationship with them.
⚽️ El diario inglés The Sun publicó que Raúl Jiménez es el principal candidato para ocupar el lugar de Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang en el Arsenal. El francés sería pretendido por el Barcelona según versiones de la prensa catalana. Vela couldn't sell out houston, doubt cheech will make much movement. only markets i can see are those dumps in the midwest that get little Mexico games and are desperate as you mentioned.
Hope it pans out Been wanting to get a Puma Arsenal kit and what better than to have one with Raul’s name & number on it?
