GNev on Pogba's future with the club... https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/pa...td-casts-doubt-future-after-first-team-return
On first watch he was impressive, but his performance for me was lost because I was so frustrated we were losing to the bottom team. Not really going out on a limb to say that in 25 minutes he did more creating from a midfield spot than was done in the entire time he was out. He's just so immensely good at reading the game. He gets a lot of credit for pace/power and even technique, but his decision making, vision and thought process is really good. That 1-2 he played in the box for the shot he had wouldn't have turned into a goal scoring chance if he played the ball and made a vertical run. He ran parallel to the edge of the area and when he had momentum and his marker switched off, boom, quick change of direction to be wide open. Most players would take the most direct route to the goal in that situation but he was clever enough not to. It really is a shame we aren't able to capitalize on his presence... a bit like Hazard although at least he won a couple trophies (albeit he was at Chelsea longer)... shocking that he's in a team struggling to make top 6, let alone challenge.
Pogba taking a stand against racism with his own campaign. https://www.skysports.com/football/...er-makes-stand-against-racism-with-wristbands
Raiola doubles on his recent comments about Pogba and United. https://www.skysports.com/football/...d-midfielder-must-play-for-title-winning-team Music to your ears if you want Pogba to stay at the club. Plus like how they are firmly putting the ball in Woodward and the club's court to do what is necessary to improve the team (and keep him at the club). It is interesting though that those comments are coming on the back of recent rumors claiming that Real have told Zidane to forget about Pogba coming to the club. The potential destinations for him are not plentiful to begin with (essentially been slashed in half with Juve the only other real candidate for his services). No complaints though if that gets him to stay and possibly extend his contract. If the other end result is that it gets Woodward to finally really do what is necessary for the club to regain prominence, then all the better as well.
I would be dumb to believe a word coming out of from fat cun8.. Didnt he bash the club on Italian radio show ? Its hard to disagree over what he said but its clear he wants Pogs to move so he can milk some more cash..
Ole saying that Pogs will probably need an operation on his injured ankle. If it were to actually be the case, that should put to rest the talk of Pogba faking injury. But it probably won't unfortunately (#Fakesurgery). Not to mention, if Pogba really was hellbent on leaving, Ole would not go out of his way to protect him in any way, shape or form. In the end, if one bothered to look, Pogba for the most part has held up his part of the bargain, despite making the claim he wanted to leave. But when his wish was not granted by the club, he has been nothing but professional and has showed up when he was able and even when he probably shouldn't have (Rochdale being the prime example). Despite all that, the #Pogagenda is sure to continue...
Think it is fair to assume that Pogs has option on an operation and at this point in his mind being fit for the Euros trumps scrapping for top 6.
So wait, he's been out since September, comes back and makes two substitute appearances and now they decide he needs an operation?
Very odd, indeed. Was particularly interesting to hear that it was "his people" who made the decision and not United's medical staff.
This issue reared its head in the NBA when Khawi Leonard was in his last season with the Spurs. The team doctors cleared him, but he didnt play because he said he didnt feel right. I know there are a lot of side plots and conspiracy theories, but clubs and teams have been known to out the clubs interest ahead of the players, regarding health and playing through injuries.
https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...tball-news/man-utd-injury-news-pogba-17500006 Glad that it's been made clear that the decision for Pogba to have surgery was made in conjunction with and in agreement with the club's medical staff. The way that it was phrased by Ole yesterday, really didn't do him any favors at all and made it seem like his and his camp's decision alone. Which clearly it wasn't.
He’s not gonna sit until the summer with the Euros coming up, and this actually makes it less likely he’ll be sold this window.
It were honest, we ********ed up by not oetting him get surgery when the original injury occurred. Im not a doctor, but a fracture in the ankle? Considering where and how Pogba plays....
Yeah, Ole’s initial quote makes it seem like the club wanted him to delay it. I can’t fault him for wanting to get it taken care of.
What is kind of surprising is that if he has surgery now, he is said to be out for only a month. The recovery time is a bit of a surprise but if legitimate, then it's absolutely worth him getting surgery to definitely fix whatever is wrong with him. As suggested above by Benni, considering he was in a cast and protective boot, it's really surprising that he didn't have it before when the issue was first diagnosed (or shortly after), particularly given the amount of time he was out for. Again, not a very good look on the club's medical team here, as far as I'm concerned.
Would love to know who the medical people are and who they report to. In particular who judges them and is responsible for hiring and firing them? Doubt they come and go with a manager as part of his entourage. Judging ours from the outside, with so many players having such a bad injury history and some of the stuff I remember hearing with Smalling foot injury I think it was, ours sound truly garbage.
Regardless of if all the Pogba injury stuff we've been fed from player and club is 100% true (I very much doubt it), he's once again handling it the wrong way. This seems petty but he shows no support for the club. For someone with such a huge media presence you wouldnt even know he plays for United. No posts about supporting the team or rehab or the club. His agent and brothers are constantly running their mouths about how he needs to leave. He could easily stamp that out but hasnt. He's letting them do his dirty work. Bottom line is, Pogba is a world class player and the best we have...and he needs to leave as soon as possible. We cant rebuild around a guy that doesnt give a shit about the club and is a constant distraction. While hes here, it will always be about him and we need to move on. I have no faith Woody will replace him correctly or even get a good fee for him, but at this point we have to take that chance. He cant stay here. Its not benefiting anyone.
With all due respect, you are completely wrong here. This is coming from someone who consistently watches his snapchat and IG stories. You can even google it and find examples of this since Ole took over.
