Started posting accidentally in the Wood thread, so I'll do this "right." Emo starts in middle. Ross scores on a lame keeper error. Hibs comes back with goal headed off cross. Emojifies not involved. He's not quite in sync with forwards but has been good in possession. Release a breakaway at 21:00 that could have been a nice goal. Sunuy is correct he needs to learn to play with his hands/body to slow up/tackle in the offensive end. Good picking pocket type tackles due to quick feet, but needs to bang every challenge. Give too much free play to other DM.
good turn and run at 32, but ends up swarmed. goes down easy at the 18 and pounds the ground. Not a great end to a good turn and dribble. Needs to not do the hystrionics bit.
HT: Emo had a "fine" but not exceptional half. He and Mallan seem to be playing the "holding" role. Had one very nice pass. Two that were good ideas but Boyle not fast enough/ready for them. One good turn and dribble but waited to long to distribute. Too much throwing of the hands after he's not passed to. Mallan does seem a bit reluctant to play through him. But he's not exactly playing head and shoulders above everyone else either. His best move is a turn and go on a tight marker with space behind him. I'd say he's been fine, but not really firing on all plugs yet. He can do better.
63' Hyndman off. Was ok today. Nothing special but save the last 20 mins of the 1st half Hibs have been out of sync. One very good pass, a number of "what you expect" passes. Two or three seamsplitters that were for nothing due to weight/not being on same page. 2 goals against Hibs were self-inflicted however. They don't look like they have a forward who can score from their feet, which is a problem.
Just watched. Played a solid shift. Got stuck in a bit more than normal, couple nice tackles. He must be reading BS. Nice turns, good possession, played advanced and tried to playmake. Thoughts Hibs played a lot better, on the ground, moving it square and out of the back, I can get used to watching that. Emo saw a lot of ball, never did anything that was dangerous. I’m ok with his performance today, he will continue e to earn starts if he keeps playing like this.
