The heat wave. On that Friday it was 97 degrees in town. But I was there for APSA.

 

It was hot, Georgia hot, and smoggy, but you'd call it fog.

 

Safe to say if you didn't confront the homeless problem you never left your hotel room.

 

There were homeless people, sure. But they didn't ask for money. They kept to themselves.

 

I was there in March for a week and no one asked me for money.

Well they were everywhere. I could not put gas in the rental without get panhandled. Of course I was out and about, not at some BS conference.

Maria has strengthened in a remarkably short amount of time. Puerto Rico will be hit tomorrow by a category 4 with winds around 150 mph. This time it'll get hit from the South. Virgin Islands could take 18-24 inches of rain.

 

Wow ... that must be a new record for a storm going from non hurricane winds to category 5. That was around 48-72 hours.

Nothing to see here though. The environment is fine. Weather is fine. Everything is fine.
