When will Hungary make it to the WC again? Puskas comes to mind.

Good game again today. I think Lothar needs to go...let him take advantege of some other unsuspecting nation. What has this guy been going on about all these months?? This is the worst Hungarian NT since....ever.

Poor player selection, no tactics, he's surrounded himself with stupid, illiterate, corrupt managers (hrutka, the neanderthal) and again the most cretin of players.
Please Loddar, if this is your idea of guiding a nation back to its former glory, then go realize it somewhere else.

    Bentex...

I've checked out your webpage with clips from Hungarian players throughout Europe, and its great. Perhaps some Fradi highlights would be nice. But I dont understand why you're usually trying to swing Hungarian chatters from this site over to your site. Personally, I don't like everything about BigSoccer but I like its simplicity and there are tens of thousands more users here than your link above. Plus, if you wanna talk to us about Hungarian soccer, why can't you just do it here?

Hungary plays Bulgaria March 30th, this is a must-win for Hungary to stay in the race for a World Cup spot.

I believe Hungary needs and could win their next 3 matches which are against Bulgaria at home, Iceland, then Malta. They need to win those 3 games which will give them 15 points. Hungary can then lose to Sweden in the following match, then draw with Bulgaria at the away match, and then they will NEED to win the final game versus Croatia at home, which may be their toughest match. This will give them 19 points in total. I believe that may be enough to put them in second place on top of Croatia, with Sweden winning the group.

    Agree?

    Ah no....

Thank you for pointing out the possibilities. But I have to say that I do not think it will happen. Not with LO-thar running the show.

Besides, Hungary's reputation is to choke when it counts the most. They have done this in 2002 WC qualifying and Euro 2004. In both qualification rounds, they did great in the beginning, but choked at the end.

So far, they have had a terrible start to the campaign. The only good thing was picking up 3 points on the road, but that was to who? Malta? Not a win to hang our hats on. Unless Malta upsets someone, the win is a gimme. And, they did not score enough goals. Their goals against is terrible in qualification right now.

Lothar's inability to field the same midfield tells me, he does not know what he is doing as a coach.

It is my motto that with the modern day Magyar Csapat, always expect the worst and if something good happens, we can all be surprised.

By all accounts from Hungary, it was a titilating affair. I understand that the Saudis had all the chances and forced Szuc into several saves.

after lothars speech on how great Tóth Andras is before the Malta game he's droped him and called up Korsós Gyuri.

Lothar said he called Korsós and said he "heard" he was playing well.

stupid cvnt, has done it again ....

Hajnal, Bodor, Kovács, and now Korsós.

its been said Huszti and Torghelle were two others however lothar has not confirmed this.

The game against Saudi Arabia is nothing to go by since it wasn t our top team. Any news on when Lisztes will be fit again? We need him really badly at the moment.

    infact it was very important.
Gera will not be playing againts Bulgaria so Vincze Ottó needed a try out, which he failed.
first choice defenders played Juhász, Stark, Huszti,
Midfielders Rósa, Simek, all started Qualifyers.
up front nobody played more than Kovács Peti under lothar.

we should have lost 5-0 no doubt about that, we have to thank Szűcs.

It could have something to do with the fact that he never bothers to see any of them play until he calls them up for the team.

    Wales - Hungary 2 - 0
2 second half goals by Bellamy sealed it.

I didn t actually see the game, so i won t comment, but judging by the score it sounds like we played like ********** again...

I can't believe Hungary lost. They should be beating scrub teams like Wales. Not to mention, Hungary should be moving up, not going down. Something must have been wrong with our team that day.

I have a question... who are the other options at goalkeeper after Kiraly and what club do they play for? Just wondering.

Well, i think Wales is a better team than us and in Wales it would ve been hard to beat so im not complaining too much, plus i assume they played better than when they lost 2 - 1 at home to Wales last March...but once again, i don t know since i didn t see the game.

After Kiraly is Babos who is probably better than Kiraly but has turned down the opportunity to play a few times, i think... he plays in Feyenoord, and he s one of the best keepers in the Netherlands. There s also Szucs, who is without a doubt, the best goalkeeper playing on homesoil, at ferencvaros.

Kiraly is a VERY GOOD keeper. He's a fan favourite everywhere he goes, especially when he played for Hertha. And he's backing it up w/ good play as well; other than Andy Johnson, he's the reason why Crystal Palace are not in the relegation zone. Now, I don't know how well he does in the national team because I don't particularly care for the Hungarian NT, but club-wise, he's a good player.

he has made 8 more blunders more than Király and has been droped by Feyenoord.
he came back into the team after the winter break and made several mistakes again.

regarding the game Hungary played well, but two mistakes by Király lost us the game. he made a bigger mistake at the end but was not punished for it.

I didn t know he was dropped. Thats a shame, with the good team he is on. The only time i ve seen him play this season was against Fradi in the uefa cup, so maybe i shouldn t have commented on him.

Is that why you guys dropped him for Fiedler?
And on another note, how is Dardai doing, i haven t seen him play too often for Hertha this year...
