First match of the season and I can't wait, don't know about you. Will Sarri-ball take hold, how long will we take to gel, will Morata ever score again, is Kepa a good Keepa', will the midfield trio of Kante/Jorginho/Kovacic strike fear into the hearts of others, will our youth see meaningful playing time, does Bob know what an offside trap is, who will the club captain end up being after the band is passed around starting with Dave, will people have voodoo dolls of the loathsome Willian made, will KDB ever figure out that bullet points make more sense than commas in a list this long? The answers to literally some of these questions soon.
First off I'm gonna likely miss this live as my fiancé might litterally kill me after dropping hints I was gonna be watching this and we're moving tomorrow morning. Sarri ball isn't ready Hazard captains Kovacic doesn't start, sadly Ross does Morata doesn't score Luiz starts over AC Dave still doesn't adapt to RB yet Kepa doesn't start, Willy does Willian actually has a decent game We look bad We tie or get very very lucky and snag a late winner
I do agree about the starters. Would not be surprised for kepa and kova to sit for at least a game given they just arrived. I wonder if hazard and kante start or enter as subs. I think Dave was already announced as captain for tomorrow but that MS was going to hand it round.
Kinda agree with all of these (except captain, MS already said Dave). I’d like to see Hazard as captain. He wore it in the WC and maybe it helps him really make this his team.
Also, what is the point of having both Zappacosta and Moses on the bench? Shouldn't Emerson be one of the subs? Anyways, come on Blues.
Moses makes the bench. This side is so low on actual quality and we don't find a spot for CHO who was good in preseason and Enerson who is our only viable left back.
And so it begins. I imagine that at this stage fitness plays a big part in selection. Good to see the young lad in goal. Huddersfield beat Lyon 3-1in preseason not an easy start. If we are going to drop 3 points it may be as well as against City away, if this game was later in the season I would be a lot happier.
No surprise to see hazard on the bench and glad he's not being rushed back. Hopefully the back 4 are on the same page early and really looking forward to the jorginho/kante double act in the middle. COYB!!
