Bad form in parts, the team being an utter mess in others. Benzema played for the team right before they eventually went on strike. Let's not forget that he wasn't part of that team anymore but trouble was still brewing on the horizon. It almost feels like an accident that they eventually got it together. Might be interesting to see how they move once things aren't going as smoothly, although @Ayayain probably knows more.
#OnThisDay 10 years ago@realmadriden agreed to sign Karim Benzema from LyonWhat a decade it's been!🙌https://t.co/Z9pQnb0Iye pic.twitter.com/IzD1oQw20w— MARCA in English 🇺🇸 (@MARCAinENGLISH) July 1, 2019
Looking back at it now, it was definitely the better choice to stick with him than Higuain, the latter might have got us more goals in the league, but we'd have missed Karim in a couple of crucial CL games, and been fed up with Gonzalo's misses, and hamburgers
I'm a Higuain fan and Benzema hater, but I agree with this statement. I think it's time to move on from him though. We signed Jovic, but I don't think that should be at the expense of Vinicius which it's likely to be.
He was one of the very few players who showed any balls last year and I’m reallylooking forward to seeing a new attack with him as part of it. Benz might transition into more of a role player in the future but going into the new season, the plan will be for him to be a focal part of the attack and rightly so imo.
He showed form towards the end of the season when it had already all fell to shit. Even then, he did not know how to play as a striker and all too often was straying far out of position for no reason.
Benzema's probably scored a bit lesser lower goals than Higuain, but he more than makes Up it by being a significantly more well-rounded player. Never mind that Benzema was a much better fit next to Cristiano, which is the biggest reason Higuain made the correct decision to leave Real Madrid. I mean, Juventus kicked him out as soon as they got CR7 lol. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndic...out-after-cristiano-ronaldo-transfer.amp.html Benzema is still better than Jovic right now had 30 goals despite playing in the worst Real Madrid on several years. I've no doubt Benzema will continute be a starter in Real Madrid's opening league game. From there on, we've no idea what will happen... Nah, Real Madrid would have missed out qualify to for Champions League next season if it wasn't for Benzema. So yeah, his goals definitely had value no doubt. Some conclusions from LaLiga 18/19:📌 20 players reached double digits.📌 Don't blame Stuani!📌 Charles is Mr. Clinical.📌 Benzema is a killer header.📌 Vidal likes Messi, and Ben Yedder and Sarabia like each other.📌 Messi is... Eh.. Good or God? A good God? Good grief.. pic.twitter.com/jXFnzYYFao— Petter Veland (@PetterVeland) May 22, 2019 Also, the idea about Benzema not being capable as a #9 is laughable after showing he was excellent in that role.

Video is actually a bit old, released a few days ago but filmed while the team was in Montreal for preseason. Great words from Karim. Even if the end product isn’t always there, his attitude has always been world class
He loves the club. It's genuine. I just wish he can continue with his consistency so he can be appreciated as the legend he is before he's gone.
For someone who has consistenly averaged 20+ goals every season as Real Madrid's 2nd/3rd fiddle, I'd say Benzema's end product is top notch. Eh, Benzema only has a couple of bad seasons in term of goalscoring production (09/10, 17/18). Otherwise, he has been pretty damn consistent. Benzema will never get the recognition & respect in the eyes of many RM-fans who makes backhanded compliments about him.
I've been messing around learning photoshop and i made this Karim Benzema poster for fun. Works as a wallpaper for phones .
I have always been harsh on Benzema, but I gotta admit, he became a club legend. No doubt about it. He does love RM more than most of our players IMO, and what changed in the last 3-4 years is that he became more focused on his football and less on his parties. I don’t know if that has to do with his dismissal from the NT or becoming a father or the fact that his biggest fanboy, Hendrix22, finally gave up on him, asking to sell him. That must have unjinxed it for Benzy.
