he is protected by both Perez and Zidane or else he wouldn't survive the rightly so harsh criticism he is getting from the crowd/fans.
Dude's going to be a starter next year.
on one end, he is a shitty striker, on the other end, who can argue with 3 CLs in a row, so as I wrote much earlier in the season, for a serious shake down in Real Madrid you need a serious failure and this season, doesn't matter how you look at La Liga and CDR, because as of yesterday, this season is a phenomenal season.
heck, everybody even forgot that Barca won La Liga this year...

I don't think 3-5 matches a season is good enough to be honest. If he played at this level all season, nobody would be questioning him.

If he's happy being a bench player then cool but we really need something more if we want to be competing in all 3 competitions next season.

Protected in having a spot in the team, but they can't do much to protect him from criticism from fans or media. The dude was being booed in his own stadium week in, week out. I refuse to believe he is this fragile personality that needs to be coddled.

Both ends of the argument here are true.
He is definitely a legend. No questions about that.

Still we need huge boost in attack if we are gonna compete with Barca. More importantly we need more intensity and energy in defence. We should stop giving up easy goals if we are gonna win the league.

I think he would complement Salah perfectly to be honest. I said many times that I would sell the entire BBC, but if both Ronaldo and Bale go, it could be too much of a shock for the team to also lose Benzema who is crucial to the way we play in attack. And if we somehow get Salah, given he works much harder defensively I wouldnt mind having Benzema as the forward playmaker he is now. But in case we lose both Bale and Ronaldo we need someone who is a threat from headers since we cross so much.

In sum, BBC out and Neymar, Salah, Lewandowski in would make our attack much better than it is now.

I am glad he ended the season on a high note. But we need another striker as a rotation option at least. No chance of winning the league next season if Benz is a regular starter and contributes only 5 goals.

After the win, was Benzema posing for pictures with Zidane's family?

Anyways, hand just slipped whilst browsing Netflix and just seen there is a 2 hour documentary on him.

Listening to him talk, I doubt he'll leave. He'd settle for another role instead of leaving. Just my personal opinion.

I'm pretty sure that we'd all be glad to have him as an option for the attack(from the bench mostly).

Yea. Benz is staying and I am fine with him as a rotation player. Other clubs look at him as a striker who's almost 31 and scored 5 league goals. Arsenal has Auba and Lacazette. Don't think there will be any club willing to pay his salary and guarantee a starting spot.

    Lol.

Benzema has been maintained with several different coaches.

    Won't end with Zidane's departure.

ZZ leaving is a blow to Benz but like Nate said above me, I don't think he wants to leave here and would definitely settle for a bench role. With his salary and almost a decade in this city, why change now? He will 100% show up on the first day of training in July.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic but a new manager who doesn't treat him like family and new competition may even motivate him to do better. He is 30 but for a striker he has time to change things around a bit.

I have no problem with Benzema staying, if he isn't an automatic starter and agrees to be a bench option.

As long as CR7 is still a starter, Benzema simply has to remain in the XI.

Both of them will have to sit out more games next season. They are ageing.

Ronaldo is the most decisive player even though he's almost 35 y/o & Benzema (still in his prime btw) is very crucial for the way RM is playing offensively. Noone of them can't be replace their impact easily.
