Lemme tell you about my first attempt at pizzamaking (I was 16- I got better). Bunch of Pillsbury popcan biscuits rolled into a crust (lol), shredded mozz/swiss combo, with Italian sausage, sliced kielbasa, onions, green peppers, olive oil, oregano & garlic, but... I used shrooms from a jar. Second time, I bought fresh shrooms and everything was great. Dad ate several pieces, Mom mentioned all the flour I left on the floor but she ate one. They were proud of me.
The in-laws took over a Salvadoran place near New Orleans and are making all that Colombian comfort food. I see regular WhatsApp photos from the Mrs of the stuff they make. They were panicking the other day because 2 people were ordering a ton of food & they thought they might dine & dash. Turns out they were bringing food back to work because they can't get it where they are.
IIRC when I was a kid Chef Boyardee had a pizzamaking kit. Wasn't half bad in a pinch And of course the easiest one was the Thomas English muffins in the toaster with some Ragu & shredded muzz.
I guess it all boils down to whatever way one prefers their food...that's best! Ps..................although me and Pizza guy knows more better.
My Probation Officer reminds me often. Ps...I googled for Lasagna de plátano maduro and just got recipes. Can't find a restaurant in either Pittsfield, Ma or San Diego who has it on the menue!
Im kinda bleh about vegetable lasagna. Last time I had it was when I dated a vegan from Queens in early 90s who worked at MTV. Man did I get hooked up for concert tickets.
Oh, sorry to hear that, but I think that's more of a specialty than a staple food, so it's not easy to find, not even in Colombian populated SoFla.
Who said vegan? Please do not ever say that horrible word in this forum or I'll set the blood sausages on you...
Oy....almost 8 hrs have passed and nutter hasn't barged in with his trumpeting about a Kale and Tofu sandwich.
This could never happen today. The concert hookup part that is...because MTV and actual music don’t go together anymore. It’s like peanut butter and jelly got a divorce. I learned how to make a decent pizza from a Korean guy of all people. The dad of a good HS friend who ran a pizza supply company. Those canned shrooms come in handy if you’re doing deep dish, but yeah not so great on a regular pie.
I gotta write down the names of some of these dishes. I've found a place that serves poutine...I just need to steel my reserves to try it.
you didn't know it, but this is basically St. Louis style pizza. Though you ruined it by using things that might give it some flavor
