USA is not good enough to reach the semis unless they get a favourable draw. be realistic

They're good enough that "they SHOULD reach the semis"?? That's nonsense.

Just once it would be nice if you could back-up some of the rubbish you pollute these boards with. At one point I thought you were just a guy who wanted some non-traditional nations taking over from the traditional ones as being powerful nations in the footballing world. But your bashing of Australia immediately after they qualified for their first World Cup in 30+ years, proves otherwise. Probably you are just more interested in bashing everything that isn't American.

Nobody thinks the US is one of the top 4 teams. You might find some people who think they're top ten. Most people think they're top 20-30. My personal guess is 15-25. They depend on the draw to get out of the group stage, but they're close enough to the top teams that anything could happen.

Take a close look at who's made the semis the past few cups-- you'll find more than a few teams that fit the above description.

In short, you're an idiot if you expect the US to make the semis. But you're ignoring reality if you think it's impossible for a team like the US to do so.

A sure sign of high intelligence, being a Fire Fan.

The US will be in it until they aren't. :)

i still say that they make it farther then the second round without luck.. as long as all of their players stay healthy.

the us have a realistic chance of getting to the 2nd round but they really wont get any farther unless a miracle happens

idk.. but i think that if US has a tough group you MIGHT be right but if they have teams like Trin. and Tab. USA would sweep those teams and advance to the next round but if any of the key players ( Donovan, Beasley ) get hurt were out.

Chicago was more recent.. I was at that game and there was more Polish fans then us fans and we still played pretty good. And those teams you mentioned aren't that much better then the US. If the US was to face Brazil, Argentina, England, or teams like that we definatly would not win..
