It’s so fatiguing that everyone is too tired to show up to NWSL games!!! Actually, the Dash jumped the shark the day they promoted all of the USWNT players would play in that homecoming game and then they showed up and bailed on playing. That was the largest bump they’ve ever had (they sold 3 packs so other games had solid attendance figures) and then they have been downhill since.
Glad that little international event is done so I can go catch the game vs Chicago tomorrow night with the full complement of players available.
...and that's a shame because some the Dash players have different money troubles than the star USWNT players.
I find it really rich or even ironic that all of a sudden the women’s national team players want the NWSL to be successful after they spent several years either not promoting it or having a collective bargaining agreement that Barred the league from paying anybody more than they made

Actually a better question is: were fans turned away for a "sellout" or not? They tarp over some of the lower bowl but it never seemed like a sellout of available tickets was ever possible. Hell, the Dynamo could claim a "sellout" for Friday nights game. At least everyone advertised to play actually showed up.

I'm late to the game in realizing the Dash no longer have a USWNT player....there are only 9 freaking teams seems like they can spread them to all the teams. I'm going to be honest....I've only been to one Dash game. I think I got free tickets with my Dynamo season tickets (which I no longer have).

I watched 5 minutes of the Dash game - that was a bad segment in a dead environment with an “announced” crowd of 3,610. They really should play in a smaller stadium, just doesn’t work at BBVA with that lone drum echoing thru 20,000 empty seats

Carli Lloyd complaining about the NWSL not getting promoted enough is quite funny considering she did nothing to promote the league for most of her career in it http://nypost.com/2019/08/18/uswnt-stars-call-for-help-in-promoting-womens-soccer-league/

Maybe next year the NWSL will expand their playoff format. I don’t know why it’s seem difficult for them to unable to make that change. I mean it worked for MLS in the 90’s when 8 out of 10 or 12 clubs qualify for the Cup Playoffs.
Just read this and then try to tell me these losers aren’t trying to be political: http://www.espn.com/soccer/major-league-soccer/story/3927069/timberssounders-fan-groups-protest-silently
@Westside Cosmo Wouldn't it be nice if EB protests the same way, but for the whole game? No horn, no chants, just shut up and watch the game.
