You have a seasoned and very good coach going against a guy with a couple of years experience at NCAA II (with a losing record). Dude doesn't know what he is doing. The confusion and frustration was clear on the player's faces.
It showed up yesterday afternoon on pop ups and banners - Lloyd and Morgan. Not sure how that all works but it was clearly Morgan
It is very clear that the team is not being managed well. I've always been impressed with Sermanni, and someone close to his level would really fix things here with the caliber of players that play for the Dash.

Hopefully Alex Morgan isn't back for the Hou vs Orl match or the whupping could be bigger than 4 goals against us in the next match. We are in a serious hole in the NWSL and I can't see how we'll dig out of it. Not happy about the likelihood of missing the playoffs...again. 4 years and nothing to show for it.
Well, they did have that big post-WWC homecoming game where they waived to the fans and didn't play after some misleading (at worst) advertising.
Enough time has passed on this - there was a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that week, but teams believed that players would at least be available to play - whether they were fit enough or not would then be a coach decision. It wasn't until the night before the game that the USWNT as a group agreed that they would not play as they were running on fumes, etc. One of the three on the Dash still wanted to play anyway but felt she could not go against the union. So, not really the fault of the team that they believed the players would at least be available, even if it was unlikely they could all go the full 90, and that remained the case until the night before the game.
It was very clear on social media and with everything else going on that week leading into that game that they were not going to play. I don't care what anybody was saying that week it was pretty clear soccer was an afterthought, That one episode encapsulated ithe folly that women soccer is as well as a good example of where the Dynamo/Dash organization consistently fails to anticipate and properly manage situations . They sold a bunch a ticket packages but I think they lost most of the credibility that they had on that one
It's not like it's an exhibition match though. Fans shouldn't buy tickets based upon the roster, or they could be let down by manager changes, injuries, illness etc. When I buy Texans tickets, I don't freak out because Aaron Rodgers isn't coming to whip our asses.
At the end of the day it is not that different from Willian leaving Chelsea to go to Brazil for international matches, arriving back on Thursday and playing on Saturday. Just because they were busy during the week didn't mean that you couldn't have a reasonable expectation that they would be available to play on Saturday. The tone of the discussion between USSF, USWNT and NWSL all week suggested they would be available. Like I said, that does not mean that they play 90 minutes or start, but that they could suit up and be available. It was not just the Dash, it was the entire league. There is plenty you could point at the FO for mismanaging over the years. As someone who knew exactly what was going on at the time and all of the sordid details, I'll go to my grave insisting that this is one where they got burned last minute.
They sold some USWNT pack for those games. At what point during the concerts, parades, ComicCon appearances and tweets did the Dash FO not realize "uh, are we sure they are playing ?
If an athlete can show up a day or two before the game (which was the agreement), then they can play at least 45 minutes. Not a difficult concept.
Was anyone surprised at the below given they spent the prior week partying and flying around for paid appearances? Were the Dynamo/Dash that dense? I called it a few days prior and I know nothing behind the scenes They wanted to play, but honestly they look dead on their feet. #DashOn— Hal Kaiser (@Hal_Kaiser) July 12, 2015
Great result today. Clean sheet in Orlando. I think this the first loss by the Pride in their home grounds. Hope Ohai's injury is insignificant. As crappy as our recent run has been we are only 6 points from a playoff slot with 14 games to play. Looking forward to the match on Wednesday vs the now worst team in the NWSL.
That was an entertaining game. Poliana is playing really well right now, and some key players back from injury.

Dash gonna get some good publicity out of JJ Watts girlfriend being out for the year due to ACL and meniscus injury
Well it wasn't insignificant sadly. Hopefully it doesn't kill all the momentum they got from this nice win.
Tonight's game was so painful to watch. We really missed a good opportunity to gain a big jump in the table. Especially after the bad news about Ohai being lost for the season. We needed these 3 pts..ugh.
