I am happy with the point, but mama mia we looked AWFUL for large stretches of that game.

Not good enough. Gonna need a win at Trinidad in last game to make World Cup. Good to see this national team program has really progressed in the last 28 years.

I'll just say this: I'm absolutely thrilled that the US took this point. I can't really even fathom not making the WC.

That said, if I had lost this match on FIFA 17 the way Honduras did today, on a fluke set piece after dominating and missing great chances to go up 2 and even 3 goals -- I'd have smashed my controller into a million pieces.

We did not deserve a point. In fact, we deserved to lose 3-0. Luckily, deserved got nothing to do with it!

Nope. A win vs Panama and draw vs T&T could very well be good enough for third and fourth at the very worst. I'd like our chances in that fourth place game no matter who it's against.

Would like to see Danny Williams, Jonathan Gonzalez, and/or Weston McKennie called up the next time around. Oh, and Matt Miazga.

1.) This team needs so much work. I don't have the belief Bruce can or will make the necessary changes.

    2.) My head hurts.

Thought Guzan, Besler, Pulisic were the best players. Acosta and Dempsey were okay as well, all three subs did well in limited minutes.

I can't think of a single USMNT Match I've missed since WC 2010 and that one is up there for most CONCACAFY.

We need someone who can pass the ball out of the back, so EPB before Miazga. But you can also add Miazga for Gonzalez. EPB and Miazga for Hedges and Gonzalez.

If this were Klinsmann the torches and pitchforks would be out in full force.

    Absolutely embarrassing.

But you know, tough game, concacaf, on the road, showed heart, if you believe any of this last bit you are a moron, fought to the bitter end, showed that MLS players and aging vets have grit, we showed real leadership in tough times, Bruce made the right adjustments, don't question a point in Honduras, etc.

We now need Mexico and Costa Rica to at least draw against Panama and Honduras.

    Sigh.

The team is a mess right now. It won't begin to truly remedied unitl the start of the next cycle.

Why are people so mad? A draw at Honduras is a good result. Don't complain.

So that was the National team without the Euros many were complaining about last match. Strange we didn't score until Bobby came on.

The person interviewing Morris just said this is probably one of the biggest results in National Team history.

Where do they find these people??

Ya know, when you've got four qualifying spots (rounding up) and only six teams competing for them, you're always going to have a team that essentially backs its way into that fourth spot. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of that every once in a while, especially if you're actually playing down to that level.

Fortunately, the one away match left is at T&T. If it were T&T at home and Panama away at this point then I'd be skeptical considering the horrific road results throughout qualifying.

Chances that certain posters will somehow blame Euro-pixie dust for this atrocious performance: 100%!

We need the fight/grit/moxie that wood and arriola brought for the full 90 from more of our players: CP certainly has it.

We needed a point and we got it.

The old guard needs to be phased out ASAP though

Guzan usually scares me... but he was really good today. No awful rebounds or blunders.
