Good game for the Mexicans as you're players are in form and the Costa Rican players in Europe have slowed down a bit. Also did Cubo Torres get a call up?
La neta whens the last time we had a good game at Azteca? (I'm not counting the 3 nil against El Salvador's reserves)
4-1 vs El Salvador in 09? Gols from Vela, Cuau and even Palencia. Guille Franco was instrumental in that match.
So basically against minnows... ngl, bit nervous for this game. CR is at full strength for the first time in a while and we're missing a lot of players.
You can look up the Wikipedia info for the past Hexes and Costa Rica doesn't really get trashed at Azteca nor do the better CONCACAF sides like the US or Honduras. I'm a bit nervous as well but I heard Moreno recovered and he will start. I think the Ticos will be defensive and want to go home at least with a point. I'm hoping Vela can have a great game and I'm looking forward to seeing what Orbelin can do. I hope we get a much better game than the Panama one. However, I do think both Panama and Mexico played it safe since both sides had gotten 3 points away. Just win. The Ticos are a solid side and any criticism about an ugly win is unfounded and uneeded.

We're missing lots of players but Costa Rica is missing Oscar Duarte, which is their best defender. I think overall in terms of squad we're still better but the question is how we will do in Azteca.

lol damn near identical lineup to what I asked for douglas except I thought moreno was out? That is why I omitted him from my lineup
I know he plays in MLS but Cubo Torres looks good this year. Hope he continues and makes the jump to Europe
Still think Chicharito would excel with a second striker next to him. 4-3-3 is big here in Portugal and Spain but I don't think it helps Mexico at all considering Chicharito is not so big to hold up play. Vela or Jimenez up top with Chicharito would be my ideal choice in formation
